Listen To The Locomotives After They Pass The Railroad Crossing! 2 Trains Have DPU Locomotives. Locomotives from Wells Fargo Leasing and Burlington Northern Santa Fe are featured.
The video also shows footage filmed by Mrs Tooth while I was filming the trains. She was filming a helicopter with a long chain saw that was cutting trees back from the power lines on our farm. This video also shows the Live Action Pets and a slide show that comes from the video.
Filmed Tuesday, January 9, 2024 in 1080p with 60fps. Thanks for watching!

Well well at least when it's raining those drab old NS locomotives have a shine to them. BNSF has my favorite color scheme on their locomotives. Keep up the good work and the great videos .
I agree with you
You could totally hear that uphill locomotive straining and pulling. Awesome to get on video but of course, you always do! Plus DPU's, jokes and tree-cutting copters. Talk about "wait, there's more"!!!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Another fantastic video my dear friend! I liked it! Greetings from Brazil 🇧🇷
Thank you very much!
Good old rain X.
I love that stuff
11:30 Trips to the dentist are such a thrill! I've had 4 or 5 root canals done in the past, a necessary evil at the time.
20:15 Man alive, that's some hazardous duty! I'm sure that copter pilot gets well-paid.
Merci beaucoup pour cette très belle vidéo ! ✨✨✨✨👍
Thanks for watching!
@@JawTooth You're welcome! 🖐🖐🙏🙏🙏
Some LP Smart Siding on that train!
Yes, someone commented that it came from you lol
Hey JawTooth and Mrs JawTooth
Great work today
👍👍👍👍👌👌👍👌
Hey, thanks!
Mrs Tooth sure got a great video there for sure! Not something one would often get to see!
Got to say that is one good Chopper Pilot!
You got that right! She made me happy getting that. Thanks for watching!
We saw a helicopter with a saw just like that when we attended the Paul Bunyon show in Cambridge, Ohio last fall. It was a static display by LaRoche. I didn't take a picture of it, but it really looked like the same helicopter to me.
This video reminded me of the Elvis Presley song, "Kentucky Rain". Going out in that weather rail fanning shows real dedication.
Thanks for watching! I like that song and think of it on days like that
Good DPU action on the grade,My Son, Dad and Me watched them trim the right of way using a helicopter 🚁, pretty cool 😎!🛤🚂
❤ the triple DPU!!! Lot of power !!! 11 degrees n MS - we r not use to cold artic weather n the south! Enjoy the warmth!!!
Oh wow! Now, I am supposed to go to Florida in February
That helicopter saw looks "hella dangerous." 😂
I sure would not want to be a squirrel in the tree with that thing
Do you think it's just a newfangled chainsaw? And how do you think he sees directly below the helicopter and knows where to swing the thing in the trees?
I like train videos on TH-cam jawtooth dpu alright 👍
Whatever they are paying that helicopter pilot it’s not enough… it was darn windy too!! Amazing video Mrs Tooth.
Loved those hardworking DPU’s!
Awesome video with 3 dpu working hard but wait there’s more 👍🚂😎🇺🇸👍
Seems like you found a winner with Mrs. Tooth! Great video!
Yes! Thank you!
This is the heart of the (old) US - productive power, wealth, commodity. On the move. Magnificent ( from the UK). Thank you.
Thanks for watching!
Nice job Mrs. Tooth with the helicopter footage! There's a James Bond movie (several back, can't remember the name) that features a helicopter chainsaw like that one.
The helicopter segment looks incredibly difficult and dangerous, the pilot must have some really good skills.
for sure
I will say, I started using your technique to hold the phone while filming. You’re onto something! My finger stays away from the camera and it’s still mostly stable
Awesome! It's fun trying to get a great video. The thing I learned is there is no perfect video. Every time I film something I always think that I could have done a little better if I had stood there or zoomed in or whatever. The challenge is fun though
Good morning
Morning
Wow what a bonus. That pilot was working his butt off. Thank you Mrs. J.T.
Thanks and I will tell her
Yeah he was, how do you think he's able to see that chainsaw directly beneath him and knows where to place it?
Good morning J.T. I wish I could be there to hold a umbrella for you. You put yourself through lots of bad weather to film train's for us to see. Thank you so very much.
Good morning! I am hoping that we get some snow next week lol
Morning JT!
Morning!
The town i was born & raised in recieves 85" of precipitation per yr. But
That also includes rain and snow. It's in
W. Washington, 20 miles from the coast. If you have to work outside in the winter, you'd better get used to
Being in the rain, otherwise you'll never get anything done. We have a
Saying, we don't tan we rust.LOL!!!
Wow that was cool triple DPU at the end of that train are you kidding me
Rainy day action is very hard . And very rial seen . Thank you very much for your action .
Thanks for watching my video!
Triple helper DPU units..wow.
Heck of a good helo pilot to do that
WOW! WTG Mrs TOOTH!
Thanks!
And the three trailing locos were working just as hard!
Seems like they sounded louder after they crossed the road. that was really cool
Great way to start the day, watch Jawtooth.
Thanks!
Gotta love the sound of a hard working engine ❤❤
You got that right!
I watch your videos all the time
That’s awesome video of you getting a helicopter very nice glad you having a great time filming this
Watched yesterday.Commenting today.Always good trains there. Cool catch by your wife.Thumbs up.
Thanks for watching
That was extremely impressive with the helicopter cutting the trees like that.
Since the chainsaw is beneath him, how does the helicopter pilot know where to swing or place the chainsaw?
I happen to live near some power lines and the company that owns them has a chopper too. But I always thought it was for patrolling the right of way.
That has to be an EXPENSIVE TREE TRIMMING JOB.
Hey jaw tooth cool trains. Helicopter was interesting the way they cut back trees. Kinda scary the way they do that. Have a great railroad day 🚂🙋♀️
Yes did hear it chugging up the hill. Great catches
Good Thursday morning JT, another fine video. Have a good day.
Good morning!
Maybe more of the uphill trains run at night?
This is my favorite location out of all of your vids. Love the uphill battles.
Me too. I love this spot but it is difficult to get a heavy train going up
Wow I hope that copter pilot got extra pay being that close to those power lines.
That has to be one of the most dangerous jobs in America
Nice NS trains my favorite wheather to watch BNSF or UP is in rain
An unusual setup with the one lead engine and 3 DPUs - very cool! The sound is awesome :) Some of the most dangerous jobs are with the power company - look at that helicopter pilot wielding a chainsaw so close to those high tension lines. One mistake and poof! He is a very good pilot!
Hey Brian! I know you're a music guy. I recently co-authored "Carpenters: The Musical Legacy" with Richard Carpenter (in case you're a fan at all of their music!). As a fellow trainspotter, can't tell you how much joy you bring to folks through your dedication! Whenever I've got the itch and little time to do any spotting myself, I can always rely on your channel for fresh content! Bless you ...
🎙🎵🎼"Rainy days and Jaw tooth trains are always on my mind"🎶🎙🎼
That is just crazy how the heli is jerking around...
When ever I was rail fanning. Rains would bring on the trains when I was filming. Trains would be more on the go in the snow in the cold winters. Stay warm, thanks for the trains in the rains, snow and warm days.
That's the highest paid rooster I ever heard. lol
He was a good one
Nice video...never have seen a helicopter doing that...interesting..thanks for the video
This is the first time I heard of helicopter cutting trees.
😊i have never see that before that flying saw. verry little chopper. cool to see. this is wath for Preston, lol.😊
Thanks 👍
That triple header with one one the tail, was sure flexing those rails by the crossing ! Brilliant catches as always.
Many thanks!
Thanks so much for helicopter video! I never seen like this before!
Years ago, I took photos of a similar helicopter cutting trees, where they daylighted Eagle Tunnel in Grant County for CSX.
Great catch great video thanks Brian the Mrs got some great footage
Be safe😊
Wow, I've never heard of, or seen a flying hedge cutter. Great catch Mrs T 👍👍👍👍👍 🇬🇧
Thank you! Cheers!
Great video, loved the jokes!! Always love to watch and hear your comments. Stay warm and safe out there.
Thanks! Will do!
LoL Jaw Tooth your on a roll! Thank You for rail fanning! Have a great day!
It sure did picked it up!!!

I can hear Forest Gump saying,
" Watching, Jaw Tooth videos, is like a box of chocolates.
You never know what you're going to get."
Good rainy day action JT! Enjoyed Mrs T’s video of the helicutting! Horse wasn’t too happy with all the live action(horses name?) And Norfie thought Loci was a little too rough! Time well spent!
Thanks 👍 The horses name is Baby. My daughter named him that when she was little. Thanks for watching!
Poor Norphi! She is going to take it to the pup. 😮
Yeah, another classic video. Thanks, Jaw Tooth.
Thanks for all your hard work to bring us these videos
Glad you like them!
Awesom Full Power Great
Good video Brian. I was in Crescent Springs last Friday. I got more coming up the hill than down for a change. Loved the chopper trimming trees footage.
Sounds great! I get more going down for some reason and I almost always get the steel coils train going up but I didn't see it on Tuesday
That helicopter action was pretty crazy, at one point it looked like it was trimming your hedges at your house...also I see they picked a nice still day to do it...😂
wow, you're driving in some crazy traffic there JT.
Looks like you haven't been on the 405 in L.A. at 5:00pm.🫠😵💫
Your dedication to making these videos really shows, rain or shine. Three DPU's cool!!! and the jokes keep coming, who could ask for more. Great job👍👍
Thank you very much!
I thought that method of cutting trees was only found in a James Bond movie. Lol. Talk about hi risk jobs
This is one your best spots to film
Awesome train action in Kentucky with some DPU's and some Norfolk Southern trains, Norfie and the Train Dogs making a great appearance
Thanks Jaw Tooth.🇺🇲🤠🇺🇲
🚂🚃🚃🚃🚃🚃🚃🚃🇺🇲💨
Great video JT! The helicopter trimming the trees back was interesting! Thanks Mrs. JT!
🚂🚂🚃🚃🚃🚃🚃🚃🚃🚃💯👍👍🚁
Thank you jawtooh for the videos what trains are your favorite to video
I like trains with DPUs that are working hard. Those are my favourite as long as they are long trains
2-87, 4-107, 4-79, 2-35,
Thanks for counting cars Dan! Have a great week!
You're branching out and trying doing stand-up comedy LOL .
Surprised to see that helicopter out trimming those trees with those windy conditions , guess they're trying to get it done before the high winds this weekend .
Thanks!
This was one of the best videos ❤
Thanks!
love the vids Jawtooth keep em coming makes me miss the days when I worked for NS MoW
First time that I have seen trees cut that way.
I wish I had been home so I could have got more video of them. Mrs Tooth filmed that part for me
Good job filming love your videos thanks nazie give a shout out
Always your videos are the best.
Live action
That triple DPU train was awesome. I saw a helicopter doing the same thing one day when I was on the way home from Chillicothe VA. Chessie just a little camera shy. Have a great day...
Triple DPU Alright🔥 Wait There’s more
that was a good one! Rarely do you see 3
Turn your wipers on jawtooth..😊
I see you Rain-X'd your windshield.
Yes and that stuff lasts a long time
Is nice to wanting to watch a train
From having to watch one?
Emporia, Ks.
Hi
Hello there!
I don't know what routes exist in that area, but the railroad would probably prefer to avoid running trains up that grade. If there is an alternate route that is not much longer, they would run most trains that way.
That's a really good hypothesis there, and there might be a whole lot behind what you say, cool!
Good morning Jaw Tooth.
Awesome catches on the hard working engines Jawtooth! That helicopter trimming trees was a extra special treat!👍
Well, either the trains are returning up the hill at night while you’re not watching, or they’re going around and round like on a loop of track on some model railroad. 😂
Pretty good NS grain train JT. There was one that was obviously a different color than the rest, darker. Are those cars made of stainless steel? The color was right for unpolished stainless. 😊😊❤❤
I believe so. some of them are. they used to make them near me until the late 90s. Had a Trinity in Mt Orab
Your going to have a big cat vet bill if you don't discipline that dog.
