Yes, Chatrapati Shivaji Maharaj was the great King from India who united Indians against the foreign invaders. If you are in Malwan area then you should visit Sindhudurg fort which is one of the most unique creation of Marathas under the guidance of Chatrapati Shivaji Maharaj It's monsoon in India, so be careful while traveling in coastal areas, if possible check for local travel advisory. I’m from Malvan.. and Sindhudurg fort is the birthplace of Indian Navy. And you guys should visit Malvan in between October and May to visit Fort Sindhudurg. You were right that is a place where there are ferry boats which take you to the Fort. The sea is calm in others months of the year but not in monsoons. Good to see you guys visiting our forts and trying to know our culture. Keep it up❤️

60k statues of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj are in Maharashtra state alone. One statue is situated at India and Pakistan border facing towards Pakistan woth sword in hand to motivate Indian army. Father of Indian navy is Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. Indian Navy flag is also inspired from Maratha empire

Malvan has sea fort called Sindhudurga,You can go their by small boats but during mansoon season boat most probably don’t operate as sea becomes risky.

I am very glad to watch this vlog which is dedicated to Chatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. To speak about various forts in Maharashtra, these forts are not well maintained , if compared with those in Rajasthan. Politicians give many reasons but these reasons can never be justified. Premises of the forts can be improved, museum can be set up at every fort so that tourist can understand the contemporary art and culture, weapons which were used at that point of time and depiction of life style of people through statues. There is lot to improve but all in vain. Every Politician is busy in inviting IT investments but nobody really cares about the real heritage of Maharashtra which can be developed as Tourist attractions.
What I really want is , tourists who visit these forts end up their journey with knowledge, good sight seeing as well as good experience when it comes to exploring these forts.

This is not sindhudurg fort. Sindhudurg fort is in the middle of the sea. Fort can be seen from this site backside. In this video @11.18. In rainy season, not allowed to go on the fort till october. Boat are closed for 4 months june to september. Water sport activities business are closed those months This shivaji maharaj statue and this site is build for tourist last year.

You visited Rajkot. Though it is considered a fort, it was actually just a security post of the main fort, SindhuDurg (pronounced sindhu-durg). Sindhu means sea in Sanskrit, and Durg means fort in Sanskrit. So SindhuDurg means Sea Fort. In normal weather there are many water sports available at Tarkarli and Malvan beach.
Cows roaming around are pet animals. They mind their own business. So if you don't disturb them, you will be fine. Rather you should be aware of dogs roaming freely.
I think you should really visit Kolhapur and Pune. A lot more places to visit around these cities especially in the rainy season. It will also get you more viewers! 😉

Nice video! Sindhudurg Fort is the best place to visit. The winter season is the ideal time to go because you can easily find ferries and the tides are not as strong.

As far as I know you could get to visit sea forts on Maharashtra coasts. Boats and ferries are operated on regular basis. But they operate on certain times. Do check the Google maps for more information. Also, you can go to the sahyadri mountains east wards. There are plenty of hill forts. It's amazing to go trekking.
The easiest way to explore is to check the Google maps. There are also wildlife sanctuaries in the region.

I would suggest to travel on the other side of Sahyadri mountains for 3-4 weeks and then come back to this konkan side. Weather will stop you from visiting a lot of amazing places in Konkan. But you will get a great views and scenery in mountains.
Ideally, I would suggest you to visit fishermen villages of Konkan on the 19th August to see their "Narali Paurnima" celebration. The day when they return to the seas after a couple month of break due to monsoons. Most if not all spots in Konkan will be open after that.
