This and Golden Axe are by far my favorite Arcade games. Played them so much at arcades that I could finish each with just 1 coin without losing a life.
Love this game. They made some interesting Xenos to bulk up the enemy list and boss battles back then. "This one is a snake, this one has wings, these two get hit by lightning and zip around like Barry Allen." Come to think of it why hasn't there been a Aliens comic or crossover where they get superpowers from the hosts? Though might be a bit tough for the chestburster trying to get out of the guy with super toughness. "Okay, torso is a no go so I'm going full Fulci. Bursting out the eyes."
When i was a kid, i got introduced by ALIENS (Electric Dreams, not Activision 😹) on my Commodore 64 in a compilation called FIVE STAR - with the other games, such as THE TRAP DOOR, FIRELORD, URIDIUM and THE WAY OF THE EXPLODING FIST. Then, several years later, I found out, that it was based on a James Cameron movie. And this Arcade version of the game looks awesome 😺👍.
I do have to say this Al82. The 1979 and 1986 movies of the Alien franchise used to scare the living day lights out of my as a boy. At night, I would check underneath my bed and my closet to make sure there were no aliens in them bro. 8^) Anthony..
Great game... but...pink/purple xenomorphs? , green facehuggers? strange mutant xeno`s?!?! Guess they where told...don`t make the game TOO scary!!! Btw The Flamethrower OWNS!!! Do not use that 3 bullet sh** or other weapons..! FLAMETHROWER!!!! ;))) I am 43 years old.. played this in the arcade back in the days :) I play it now at days via emulator ;) :)

great game, I love it. Weapons are unbalanced though.
I have this game on MAME, but not a big fan of the movies though.
