Troy puts the ooooo in smooooth . Knows exactly where to put the bike to get through traffic effortlessly, and leave the braking a bit later heading into the turn ....Brilliant!!!
@@sotiriossardelis1719 I would see it as a great honour too. Cool memory! and considering the 998, yes sir. WILCO! What mods did you do to the 748? Merry Christmas!
@@7rslender It has marchesini magnesium wheels, rear suspension ohlins from R model, front brake system from 998s, brembo rcs 19 Radial Brake Master Cylinder, slipper clutch, a bigbore kit 854cc, added oil cooler from R model, racing exhaust tubes and weight reduction from unnecessary equipment (lights+speedometer etc)
Nearly bought a yellow 748R but after test riding it I realised it was too wild a beast for the road. A 748S might have been an option, I suppose. The 748R remains the only Ducati I have ever really lusted after. Lovely engineering.
@@davidburne9477 to be honest - my 748R was in fact a mispurchase! I never mastered it - lacking skill and courage. This bike does not forgive any mishandling! It is terrible to ride in downtown traffic : rough clutch, engine quits frequently in idle due to the low masses (titan conrods and light flywheel) My old 92 or 93 Honda CBR 600 F was by far the better daily bike - absolute foolproof. But but but : no other bike i ever rode gave (and still gives) me goosebumps like the 748R. Happy new Year & stay safe! Cheers!

Is finding one of these, perfect minus a fairing that blew off on the highway because it was improperly installed after teplacing a battery, with ~42k miles for 3,500 be a deal of a lifetime or not? These years of ducati are just some of the greatest looking bikes to ever be made
The motorbike has no engine problems after the conversion (not many km though as it is a track only bike). She has different cam and also timing adjustments took place. Also she has an oil cooler from an R model.
I feel a fool for owning this bike, after watching this! Geez, that lean angle, I swear there was only a hand's breadth between the front cowling and the road surface a lot of the time there! 1990? What camera were you using? Seems really high quality for that time.
Why couldn't that be right? Explain. Or...maybe do you believe because he's Troy Corser he HAS to go full throttle, risk an accident on someone else's bike, with some random beginner drivers, potentially badly hurt himself and/or others? He's used to being on the track, he has more sense that all Jackys out there. Also, Troy is a great guy! I met him randomly in Oschersleben, i went to him to say hi. We spoke ten minutes like regular dudes. I'm more regular than him of course ^^ I can imagine him being there at the track, speaking with OP, and just trying that bike that nobody owns anymore, let alone drive it on the track. OP proposes, Troy disposes. And bam, we have this cool video. Even if this isn't Troy. Isn't this a cool, relaxing video? :)
Nice and respectful with the bike and around the slower riders.
His class shines through when he rides right around the outside on that first corner 👍

I don't care how much horsepower your bike has, It's knowing how to ride smoothly. Troy makes it look so easy ;)
Nice guy, Troy, and a helluva rider! Love the 748, it’s a sweet sweet ride.
experts always make stuff look easy! So smooth
So nice to see a 748 in action again. I had a 1996 model way back in the days!
I try to keep it active!
wonderful 🏁👍
I didn't read the title of the video properly at first and I was thinking, damn this guy can ride! It all makes sense now😂

What a nice move of you to lend your bike to a WSBK legend. Need to get me and my 998s in shape again ;-)
Ride safe and thanks for sharing!
I consider it as an honor and something to remember. Get this bike on track again!

Great riding by a great rider 👍
The 748 is one of the meanest sounding bikes ever. Specially the R.

Well done
Isn't it interesting to realize how fast that "old" bike actually is.....
It is :)
Oh yes….. my old 999s is faster as many people think. These old bikes are awsome
Its not the bike.. its the rider

It’s good to know that it’s not just every Ducati that I’ve ever owned ends up with black clutch fluid 😂
😅
80/20 mix of clutch fluid and chain lube.
Change the slave cylinder for a Oberon unit. Problem solved 😊
The bike sounds great! Has the 853 kit been reliable and worth the upgrade? Did you do any cam or timing adjustments?
The motorbike has no engine problems after the conversion (not many km though as it is a track only bike). She has different cam and also timing adjustments took place. Also she has an oil cooler from an R model.
Ooh lovely! If only I could ride my 748R like that, I'd eat the big boys for brekkie :)

1990 is part of the club's name. This was filmed in 2022
The lean angle is epic
Yes, his riding skills are awesome...
Was that during a procession? Or a funeral? Why did everyone rides with their brakes on? ^^
Have the people he is passing ever rode on the track before????
Some of them might not. It was a normal track day with 4 level sessions. He could enter whenever he wanted.
Same week he blew a Marco Lucchinelli TT1 ?
I dont know about this
homeboys having trouble with the gears and overly agressive riding
Never is this Corser!
Next friday will be in same event again. Join us or ask him if you have a way.
