I still get compliments! I take care of my skin so there are no performance issues. It's still one of the best fragrances on the market.

I got the gift set as a birthday gift last year, it came with the 100ml+30ml. My 10 year old son decided to capture the 30 ml and has been wearing daily to school ever since. This one is a great fragrance. Solid 10/10 for me.
It's a must have in my collection. I will always own a bottle of this cologne. A legend in the frag game and my number one compliment getter!

Ah yeah!! I got it back in 2013 for a Christmas gift. I wore it to work at the hospital just about every night and I got a lot of attention from the ladies. Even a few patients that weren’t on ventilators. The only thing I can knock is the performance.
Always a classic that stays in the rotation I love the parfum formulation.

nicholasweezy For vintage La Nuit, there’s a guy named AlphaFragrances that’s selling samples of 2013 batch. Up to a 10ml I believe. I don’t know any for L’Homme though. Also, if your into Aventus I recommend my guy Marmoble, whom also has La Nuit Frozen! Just search those names and they should come up!

This is the fragrance that started my interest in it all. I still haven’t smelled the current formulations either. I got interested after reading about the mythical Nuit and its original vintage formulation. This is one of the things that piqued my interest and made me realize fragrances can support the missing element that I was experiencing from a new environment devoid of many of the natural scents of nature I had grown accustomed to.
Great review BBB. As always you are the authority in the game. After 76 fragances in my collection, 12 of those being niche, I can tell you something. If I could only keep one fragance, it would be this. The king ... la nuit de l homme. Keep the great work.

I bought la nuit in 2016 because of the hype. I think it smells ok, but its nothing spectacular. I have never received compliments when wearing it. I hardly ever use it. I have no performance issues with la nuit, i get solid 5 to 6 hours.

I just got this today smells great Big B got it at Macy's for 108 for the 6.9 bottle Macy's has 30% off cologne and perfume a lot of deals going on but always keep it on Big B
I picked up some of this fragrance 20 minutes ago from Macys I spent $100 and some change it was between this fragrance and the Invictus which I am going to be getting some of that very soon and also the ultra male fragrance the door blue bottle

I just picked up my 1st bottle. It smells amazing but longevity is below average sadly. I picked up a 200ml at a great price so I can't complain. I just need to reapply every 2 hour's I guess.
Tried this at sephora and its been extremely watered down on these new formulations . The color is clear instead of that swampish brown color the older batches have . At first spray you smell absolutly nothing and then you slowly get the light la nuit rosey scent mixed with a little bit of l'homme. I admit i enjoyed the new formulation better than my 2015 bottle that has a sort of heavy lipstick rosey cloying vibe im not very fond of . This fragrance is extremely offputting in warm climates and should be only brought out for colder months.
I hear everybody scream about performance but not tell us how long you do get. It's an intimate fragrance, not a work fragrance or anything else. Look at the design and smell of it. Dark, sexy, and mysterious. Do what you like with your fragrances but understand there use before you bitch about performance. If i'm intimate with someone and we are on a date, i don't need a beast mode fragrance, they are all up on you, so anything you wear they can smell. I get at least 6-7 hours of it and I just got it in 2017. It's a date fragrance for god sakes, so now we go on dates for 8 plus hours? If it lasts on your skin for 4 hours on a date, you will seal the deal. Understand what your fragrance is designed to do. You can wear it to work but that's not using it at it's strength.
Dahaji Mcmillion completely agree. I was going mad about trying to get a vintage until I realized my 2017 is such an awesome fragrance. Would still recommend it to anyone.

Frankly I have a 2016 bottle and it's always lasted for the entire night out with a heavenly smell, so I have nothing to complain about! As you said, it's not a work fragrance, it's a date one. And I say a damn right one!!!!

Absolutely love this scent but it didn't last long on my skin. So I sold it ... and it sold quickly too!

I have 2012 batch 200ml. I payed around $110.00 back then from macy's when it firzt came out. I still have bout 90% left. Smell Very good indeed... sillage and longevity is da bomb!!

Excellent review as usual and like you said the changes are not as noticeable to make a big deal, I currently have a 2016 bottle and it works great, ladies love it and that's all it matters lol.

I like them both. I don't believe they smell similar. If i'm looking at Huss Boss, I prefer Hugo Boss The Scent.
I honestly don’t get the hype on this fragrance. On my skin, I mostly get powder and a barbershop scent. Not bad but not worth the price

I have a 2013 batch and its really good. I have tried a 2017 batch and it was weak AF. I will try a 2018 batch next time I go to Sephora and see how it turns out.

You're welcome. I found the same to be true with the original L'Homme but a few days ago I received one for my birthday that was a 2017 batch and I have been impressed with its performance so far. It was a tester though so not sure if that makes a difference.

Original invictus is my fav off all aftershaves and iv got 23 different ones . Oem invictus is top dog in my eyes

My first ysl perfume got this baby in 2013. Gave the really big one to my dad. He gave it to our family lawyer as a present. Still breaks my heart it was a 2013 batch. Can’t blame my dad he is a ysl kouros man thru and thru. Speaking of Kouros one of my buddies wore mine to the strip club and got lots of complements from the dancers. He actually came home took a pic of the kouros bottle and has stocked his shelf with that killer.
la nuit del l'homme has been my most complimented fragrance at of all the fragrances I own and was kinda love at first sniff when I sampled it and just couldn't resist buying a bottle

I prefer Herod from PDM. Layton is very nice but imo Herod beats it hands down. Ysl la nuit smells better than both but I've heard the new version doesn't last as long. Shame because it is a magnificent fragrance.

Awesome scent omg this fragrance is amazing I love it I can always re-apply as it doesnt last that long but this is def better then the original l'homme I love the smell it is amazing and a wonderful scent. What would you compare this to?
Personally I’m not mad at it having a shorter longevity because I spray more on my actual skin which stays on a long longer personally for me than my clothes.

If your in 2019 don't buy Ysl lndl. It smells amazing but doesn't last even an hour.
Wear it in warmer weather, moist your skin and go for more sprays...It will last hours in you

2015 la nuit is still ok...if you overspray it you can get a decent pertfomance from it

Just picked up a 3.3oz tester from Perfumania going out of business sale in my city. It’s about 15% used. $25 cash for it. Batch 62H403 April 2011.
I also picked up two 2oz for $49. Both batches 38R00T. March 2018. Can really tell the difference between the batches.
How long does 2018 last? I want to buy 2018, but people say it only last like hour.
t0lex14 Double up on the sprays! Hit all the pulse points when I wore it. Two to the back of the neck. One each inner arm and one shot on the inner wrist. 6 sprays. It would be a lot for any other fragrance but were talking about a watered down version of the original. Still worth owning and wearing in 2019
I apply in the morning and I can still get wiffs of it at the end of the work day. If your going to go back out hit yourself with 3 sprays.
Just sprayed the other night a 2011 on my left hand and a 2018 on my right 4 to 3 sprays each. The 2011 is very dark and peppery I pick up like vanilla as well. The 2018 is watered more alcoholic but the scent is tone down but smells like a more brighter version of old it's still nice.
Here's the kicker the 2018 still smelled on my hand the next morning as the 2011 was hardly noticed. We're talking like 10 hours later, these were both testers not stored properly and constantly under light just to consider.
Just copped the new version of this last night at Sephora. I’m wearing it at work right now. Have not got worn it enough yet to give a solid opinion it.

Go www.checkfresh and enter batch code should come up with year or months ie. My batch was 2018 and was only 6 months old lol but still smells amazing even for its former self lol and last 6 or 7 hours just have to top up once and put but extra on
