I do enjoy the L'homme EDP.. but I didn't find it performed too well.. despite the note breakdown alone, almost suggesting it 'should' ? - It's not one I own,yet anyway (we all know what this hobby is like) Always great to hear your thoughts, Aaron.

Hi, if you ever get the opportunity I would love to see your thoughts on Santal Dān Shā from Armani Prive. I got it as a free sample when I ordered Rouge Malachite a while back. It's my first Sandalwood fragrance and im curious to see how it compares to other sandalwood fragrances. I like it a lot but I'm a newbie when it comes to perfumes so I'd like to hear an actual perfumers thoughts. Of course no worries if you don't want to or can't review it. I love your content and how you explain things. I just blind bought a bottle of Rose D'arabie partially thanks to how highly you rated it in your review of it. I'm so excited to receive it and I trust that I'll love it.
Unrelated to this but I'd love to see a vide on you about dupes and clones, but more in the technical/chemistry side of things. How dupes are made, how they break down the initial formula, what information that chemical analysis give and why it's hard/easy to dupe something based on that. If you know the entire chemical breakdown, why can't they recreate it - is it just the organic vs chemical part or is there more, like the sum of its parts being greater kind of thing.
It's a shame most of these don't perform making them a poor value. Bleu Electrique straddles both lines nicely, which is likely why it was discontinued.

Much respect to you sir. I'm new to perfumery and need some advice. I've noticed that my formulas often smell different in the bottle compared to on the skin. For example, I recently recreated Prada L’Homme, and while it smelled horrible in the bottle, it was completely different and much better on my skin. If I want to create my own formula, how should I approach this? Normally, if something smells bad in the bottle, I'd keep adding ingredients until it smells right. But what if the perfume was actually ready before adding more? How would you handle this situation? Your advice would be much appreciated.
