That Middle Eastern “stuttering” sound was Dimash’s voice; NOT a special effect. That was a tribute to the band member who originally sang this song. He was killed in an accident (?) and the band invited Dimash to sing this song. In some countries, especially the Middle East, that sound is commonly heard at funerals. So that was Dimash’s way of honoring the original singer.

That vocal stutter has a mourning quality to it. Like you noted, it's commonly heard at funerals etc. He looks and sounds great as always. :)

Sometimes Dimash sings in ‘falsetto’ but it is not always falsetto when he sings very high notes. It is pure clear soprano in the full head voice. If you want to react in the proper way on a singer of this kind of quality you should please first inform yourself better otherwise what you say sounds ridiculous

Dear Tom, thank you for the reaction.. I offer a little information about the song "Sinful Passion". This song is old. She's over 20 years old. Music by Baigali Serkebayev, and the words to this song were written by the famous contemporary Russian poet Ilya Resnick, author of many Russian music hits The first performer of this song was a singer from Kazakhstan Batyrkhan Shukenov (he died in 2015). He didn't imitate the first performer. Dimash used all his phenomenal abilities and made a completely different interpretation of this song. I can't remember a single song where the singer changed 5 voices (from baritone to soprano) and 4 octaves in one song. And Dimash did it easily. At the end of the song, Dimash sang vocals for 22 seconds in one breath. Dimash tells a great story and draws us into it. Many viewers cry, others have chills. And all together they sit like under hypnosis.

He is actually singing. That is very typical of Middle Eastern singing. He always introduces folk and operatic together. His last run was 23 seconds with runs. I enjoyed your reaction.💝🤪

The vocal technique Dimash uses at the end of the song, marked by the rapid alteration between two adjacent notes (or half-notes) is also referred to as "vocal trill". This is how it's defined in Wikipedia: "The trill (or shake, as it was known from the 16th until the 19th century) is a musical ornament consisting of a rapid alternation between two adjacent notes, usually a semitone or tone apart, which can be identified with the context of the trill.". It is an exceedingly difficult technique to master, especially at such a rapid cadence. That is why one very rarely hears it - a tribute to Dimash's truly exceptional talent!

Dimash is the best singer in the WORLD and there are no doubts about that, his voice is a prodigy of nature and a genetic marvel since his parents are two glories of singing from Kazakhstan since he was 5 years old, he sings publicly and has more than twenty years of lyrical training and graduated from the university of music, he is a singer, composer, arranger and multi instrumentalist, he plays more than seven musical instruments and sings in more than Ten(10) languages, he is also a great performer and a great artist who lives and feels music He is not an imitator of voices , Dimash has his own style and is one of the forerunners of the "Popera" he also has a very pleasant, HUMBLE and simple personality, easy access, which makes it very easy to follow, he always travels with His family and friends is a very educated person and an example to follow, he has become known for his musical talent not for getting into trouble or scandals, It has a very wide vocal range of approximately 7 octaves ,he is a singer with a wide vocal range very versatile is Baritone, TENOR , Soprano, counter TENOR, mezasoprano, everything at the same time is how to have 5 singers in one, it has a male and female voice, also many resources such as vibrato, "melismas", falsetto, Staccato, whistle tone, reaching a( D8 )live "Outside of Piano"at the concert of Gakku in an unforgettable day, at his young age he continues to improve and grow musically to perfection, he has a good physical presence he measures 191 cm or 6 "3", he is very famous and recognized in Asia and now he is becoming known In Europe and America, ALL their songs are spectacular, it always goes from low to high, soft to spectacular at the end, in my almost half a century of life I never heard so much quality and it is the hope of continuity of the classical genre because all the old tenors have already Almost all of them died and Dimash can sing like them but none of them can sing like Dimash, being a Man he sings better than any Tenor and his female voice is superior to that of any average Soprano, greetings and a hug from Venezuela🇻🇪, "Dears" Forever ❤️👍🏻 Sorry for copying and pasting my informative comment in ALL the Video reactions to Dimash what I see but I do it with the intention of sharing information about him and what I think that in the music industry there are many artists who have been successful and have no talent and are bad people and they do not set a good example for the youth, Dimash and his music deserve to triumph in America, Europe and the whole WORLD, do you want to have already read my comment please come by without problem there is always someone who for the first time knows this information and I won't get tired of sharing it with all my friends"Dear" around the world, thanks for reading and for supporting Dimash 🙏🏻S.O.S. You are right. Many of us who have watched him - since 2015 we know that he is a good singer and also a person. We also admire his modesty, his love for his parents, for his homeland, which today is a "new" (not very natural). That's why we love him even more. He is different, peculiar !!!! She loves music and people - regardless of age. He is humble, never forgets his family, the teachers who taught him to sing, and always thanks his fans - dears. What more to say! ???? we're glad he's singing .... and he's glad we're listening to him. A wonderful match of feeling, thinking, !!! We humans just need a line of thought !!!!

He returns his love and appreciation to his fans and you can see that in concert. While I love watching videos, I prefer the concerts where you can see his interaction with the Dears and how touched he is by their adoration and respect. You asked what people are most interested in and I believe that is is the whole package for all of these reasons, he is an inspiration to do for others and break age old boundaries ❤️

Great reaction as usual. The "stutter" you heard is only his vocals not an external effect. Must vocal coaches refer to it as a yodel technique, however in this case an extremely fast and more difficulty one to produce. You do yourself a disservice by not watching his videos to the very end especially when there are subtitles. It's an opportunity to learn a little more about him when he addresses the audience and thanks the band, etc.

Of course there are a lot of very talented singers in the world but, apart from his crazy range and high notes, Dimash has a unique tone to his voice and an amazing ability to turn every song into a canvas which he paints with beautiful colors that touches our soul. And yes, his breath control is probably equally, or even more, out of this world as is his range. He has trained long and hard to get where he's at today and he just keeps getting better and better.

That Middle Eastern “stuttering” sound was Dimash’s voice; NOT a special effect. Thats true, is amazing.

You seem to have missed that the final four runs he did took 25 seconds, without a breath. And it was gorgeous sounding.

Some people call that run a 'vocal staccato'. It's a cultural thing, tribal-like. I don't know what they call it.

Hello, I’m from Brazil! For those who like information about Dimas' songs: The story behind this song is very interesting: The band that accompanies Dimash is the same one that composed the song, without the singer who died after a heart attack! The band is also from Kazakhstan and this performance by Dimash revitalized the song. In addition, the final part he added, with an oriental technique. The song was originally performed in 1998 and the band's name is A'Studio (Russian-based Kazakhstani pop music group, "Alma-Ata Studio", city of Almaty). The dead singer (to whom Dimash was a fan) left the band in 2000 and passed away in 2015 and his name was Batyrkhan Shukenov. The lyrics are by the poet Ilia Reznik together with Baigaly Serkebayev, who is the keyboardist with long hair, which we see in the video accompanying Dimash.

Pls listen to my fav "ADAGIO", Ogni pietra ( opera, drama ) and "show must go on" by Queen 💛 Dimash had to learn english one week before he sang "show must go on" in the competition. He sing it a bit softer but also powefull like Freddy M.
Good reaction! ( blown away 😂)

Love your reactions to dimash. Amazing life story . His family is amazing also . He sang SOS in China . And needed body guards next day. Dispite his success , he remains true to his upbringing this was a tribute to the original singer from his country who passed away . Read all you can about him and his country. He is very patriotic. He is also very moral and has had the same friends since childhood. Some work for him . His parents are singers and dad is producer. Also his interviews that have translations. He is coming to USA.

That rapid melisma or goat trills is his voice.
It is an Islamic prayer for someone to rest in peace.
Dimash is Muslim and I have heard Middle Eastern men say that there is constant competition to see which man can do this the best. They have all said, Dimash is best.
The band (A Studio) accompanying Dimash wrote the song after a band member died.
Dimash liked the song, and wanted to give exposure to the band.

Love your reaction. Love your smile too. Lights up your face. Dimash never fails to amaze. Performs everything with such ease. Someone wrote that singing is Dimash’s “first” language. I wish the audience could be that quiet at a concert. They can edit out the music to make him sound acappella why can’t the edit out the people who scream and yell out while he is singing. Scream all you want between songs but stop like this audience as soon as he starts.
