The type you viewed at around 2:43 is the type I use all the time at the base of downpipes! The insert makes for easy cleaning and also prevent debris build up in soakaways!
Thanks to your video, I now have an answer to how my bottle gully actually works as I didn't understand why there was a rubber plug when I couldn't see any means for the waste to escape. Thanks very much for posting this video.
Nice video. I have two 40mm waste pipes feeding one square gully hopper. Are there any recommendations for how best to feed the piped into the gully, such as a dual grid?
Great video. If connecting two osma gully traps together, do you still use the 87.5 deg outlet on the first one and connect this to one of the straight inlets on the trap that is also the one that discharges to the sewer. How do you cope with the fact that the first pipe discharges at an angle but the second inlet is horizontal? The distance between my two traps is about 800mm. Thank you
Can the P Trap gully be used under your kitchen floor? My builder is about to use them and I'm concerned I may not be able to unblock them if they get blocked.
Hi what type of trap would use to connect Ako drains that are around a bay window into a nearby drain. There are two drains nearby and both have gullies, could I connect the new drains to one of the existing gullies?
Good video. Thank you for the information, invaluable. Sorry no sales as I live in New Zealand! But I appreciate your efforts. In a limited height situation, with flat land leading to a soak pit , which option is the best option? Cheers Philip
For a new build, I presume I'd use a bottle gully for the surface water from down pipes or is this wrong because someone can still tip a bucket of detergent down it? Also, what is best to use for the kitchen sink into the foul connection, would it be a P trap or a bottle gully?
I have a tick shaped/ 45 degree upward gulley which the Bath and basin water goes into then straight to the septic tank. I know there’s no blockages but can work out why the Bath water is overwhelming it, causing it to overflow. Can anyone help?
Yes! I use the type with the removable insert! It allows for easy cleaning/maintenance and prevents collected debris going into and eventually clogging the soakaway. You can purchase them with a split grill so you don't have to remove the downpipe; just the grill situated over the insert!
many builders put the p trap and put cheap one in or their no common sense , u not have to be a builder to have common sense , the builders do this should be shamed on internet

How does the water flow upwards past the trap on both of the pea traps without pressure or a pump?
Gravity and weight. The water flowing in will push the water in the trap out.

No
good product
do you need to vent a gully trap?
Q: why are there two types of hopper?
horse1066 The rectangular one lets you join more pipes into it. The round holes in the sides are there so you can join downpipes into them.
Thank you
Can I use this for a new sh** pipe?
