love to see the articulation in motion. the stark contrast in colors and the spartan body paneling, paired with the exaggeration of its crawl on the gray background felt nearly like a nature documentary. needless to say i was captivated, good on ya!
Back in the day these were the only style tires available. Losi claws, hot bodies rovers etc. Its wild to see how everything has moved towards scale crawling and there is no longer a 2.2, moa or super class in any of the events or videos you see online. I miss the days of 2.2 sportsmans comps and following the threads in rccrawler forum to see all the new stuff small companies were working on.
Nice! Look just like the HB Rovers we used to use years ago - they were awesome back then (possibly the best rubber for 1.9 comp (decent in 2.2 size too, until the HB Sedonas came around - then everything went super custom, with cut and shut sidewalls/treads, snipped pin tyres etc. )) Good to see cool tires on the market again.
I've been out of crawling and RC altogether since 2018. Even that year was lean, 2017 was last time I was heavy into the whole scene. Sometimes life gets in the way of things we enjoy but are not ultimately part of basic necessity. It seems in just this relatively short amount of time the genre has made Huge improvements in every aspect! From chassis, motors, batteries, esc, servo's, whole kits and RTR's, new models, updated existing models, seems I could go on and on! Also... these tires! I hope to find a set real soon and use them as a spring board to get back into my favorite class of RC vehicles. Would love to try them out on one of several Axial crawlers I have, maybe even some snow testing. Hope this gets the blood flowing and I will get back on the trails and get muddy!
I was at the hobby store yesterday set on getting Landmines, but saw these too and had them both in my hands for a minute.. but ultimately decided on the Landmines. I had no idea how impressive these were!
I have no doubt these are killer for strictly performance applications. For Scalers though, they don't resemble any 1:1 tire & I'm sure that wasn't a consideration when designing them. Great review!
I noticed on maintenance that bead lock rims need extra attention to the back side screw torque. It's important to get enough torque on them to prevent them from coming out due to under torque.
In my experience, Amain does not fill the back orders first. I had to call them after a few days no shipping both times I backordered. They said they were going to work on it though and were very nice about it.
I just got them are they directional ??? Or i can mount them anyway i got the new ones green compound they hace a little green dot i mounted them with that little green dot towards the inside of the rig
DAMN IT Fran!!!! I was hoping to not have to get anymore tires for awhile. Now I have to hunt for a set!!!! This look like the perfect tire for my Capra.👍👍👍
You should do a tire conformity test, put some kind of thick, colored, removable liquid (maybe whiteout?) then let the car sit/roll on a flat dark surface and see how much contact the tire actually makes. Could test tire vs tire or foam vs foam on the same tire, either way it’d be interesting to see what tires have the largest contact patch. Could be very telling about their performance
Proline made a 2.2 almost exactly that tread and compound. In fact I still have them on my old original Losi Nightcrawler lol. I wonder if JConcepts just licensed or purchased the design honestly.
Crawler innovations used to have a special pattern you could cut into the Sedona's couples with shaving the sidewalls and a pair of there foams that made that tire undefeatable. I hope I can find the old print out bc I'd love to do these tire like those. Sorrca legal or not these tires are awesome
I love that Rig! Well it looks like we have a new king of the mountain as far as tires. I just got mine & put them right on my new Capra. I’ve only been out once with them but tomorrow I’m going out again. That are amazing though & I’ll be getting more for all my crawlers. I’m interested in seeing how fast they wear. They remind me of the Maxxis super tacky mountain bike tires. I would run those tires all the time & yes they wore out fast but once I ran them here in SoCal which is dam near all rocks I’ve never had a better tire. Thanks for the cool & informative video I’m going to have to get those dual stage foams. What do you think about the Anti foams in them? I think that would work well in my area.
Francis, those Proline dual foams, are those the 1.9 foams for the XL series tires? And do the fit the Hyrax G8 rock climbers? Thanks for a great channel!!
Exocaged ran these a little bit ago on a few different rigs and they just plain spanked everything he threw at them. Although not legal they HOOK like velcro. I'm fishing for a set. No luck yet.
I noticed you have chopped part of the carbon chassis rail (rear), could you tell me how you like the way your rig crawls without rear springs? Thanks.
Duratrax c3 compound are awesome, maybe not as good as these but always in stock, i recomend the deep woods for wet wood and smooth rocks and the showdowns for rocks
Would these puppies fit on the 2021 trx4 bronco? Can’t exactly trim the body without the wheel well inserts looking outta whack and I don’t think removing them would look right. Have slight rubbing with my hyrax knockoffs but the ruptures are slightly rounded towards the sides and the fake hyrax have large sidewall lugs
I hope you take this as a compliment but I hate crawling. Don't have any interest in that specific area of rc but I watched this video cuz I enjoy your videos! Keel doing good work Frances
I'm using Proline Flatiron tires with foams in tires on my Capra!! & same, with 2 stage foams on my 10.3...in rain, had a blast..but like those tires you ran!! 3 weeks later my cars are totally amazing my crawln days. .godspeed!!
I use the Flat Irons on my TRX4 Bronco. They arent the best performers but i really like how they look. I also bought myself a set of J Concepts Landmines (which i havent yet run) as i also like how they look. I like tires that perform good, but not great, if they look like something youd see on a full scale 4x4. Im just as much into the look of the tire as the performance. Its hard to to find a tire that performs as good as it looks or vice versa. Most oftem you have to pick performance or looks.
The rim is 1.9 inches and the tire is 5.1 inches. The foam we use is Proline dual-stage, made for 4.8 inch tires so there is a bit of space there to allow the tire to conform and grip.
Are these better than the jconcepts tusk? I bought the tusk and they look great but honestly they get outperformed by my prolines bfg krawler tires unless maybe i need to break them in more
So far so good. Sidehills and climbs steeps noticeably better. And the tires drop in holes and cracks still when they need too. Very predictable with the lower stance
A comp tyre has to have a scale appearance or be a replica of a real 1:1 tyre.... they are also larger than the allowed 4.75.. even proline flat irons are illegal at 4.76 Cheers 👍

I still use them they also were on hpi crawler king
Nice tires, they look almost exactly like Losi's old tires they included on most of their crawlers. Their micro, mini and Nightcrawler.
that is exactly what I thought as soon as I saw the video.

Yeah, sometimes a new product springs new energy into the hobby and gets things perpetually going again.
My God...I've never seen you take those hard lines with such ease b4 ....another great video Frances ...keep up the great work mate
Right? There's another line too that didn't make the edit. Even harder!!!!
I was at the hobby store yesterday set on getting Landmines, but saw these too and had them both in my hands for a minute.. but ultimately decided on the Landmines. I had no idea how impressive these were!
These are the legendary tires for most lcg crawlers around the country.
I have no doubt these are killer for strictly performance applications. For Scalers though, they don't resemble any 1:1 tire & I'm sure that wasn't a consideration when designing them. Great review!
just placed my order for these francis through your link! your video sold me
It’s just a updated version of what came on the old Axial XR10. Works great!👍🏼
not too sure about that.
These are the best tires to crawl for the crawlers!! Here in Spain we use only these tires, and are awesome
Yes they are!
They were in stock a couple days ago at jconcepts.
These are on my back order list. Seen them a few weeks ago on exocagedrc and it blew my mind!!!
Love the tyres, run them on most of my rigs along with the BFG KM3’s..
Great Review Francis he all appreciate all the Videos and Support BARC thx.
You guys have such amazing Crawling community out there!!!
I gotta get these!!!
👍👍👍🍻✌️
I just got them are they directional ??? Or i can mount them anyway i got the new ones green compound they hace a little green dot i mounted them with that little green dot towards the inside of the rig
DAMN IT Fran!!!! I was hoping to not have to get anymore tires for awhile. Now I have to hunt for a set!!!! This look like the perfect tire for my Capra.👍👍👍
The hunt make them more precious.
Love my 2 sets of Ruptures I have , just got them from Amain. They hook up well with my 3.4 halo front,3.5 halo on rear.

Could test tire vs tire or foam vs foam on the same tire, either way it’d be interesting to see what tires have the largest contact patch. Could be very telling about their performance
Interesting. So much of it though is influenced by the foam supplied or chosen
That's actually a good idea and it would be 50-50 tire compound softness and foam firmness it would be a good way to fine tune your tires
I just got a set in on Thursday. I ordered them less than a week before right from JConcepts. Was I super lucky?
Proline made a 2.2 almost exactly that tread and compound. In fact I still have them on my old original Losi Nightcrawler lol. I wonder if JConcepts just licensed or purchased the design honestly.
They honestly remind me of a Losi Rock claw as well
Nice video! The Ruptures have a similar tread pattern to these 2.2 HB Sedona I bought some years back
Crawler innovations used to have a special pattern you could cut into the Sedona's couples with shaving the sidewalls and a pair of there foams that made that tire undefeatable. I hope I can find the old print out bc I'd love to do these tire like those. Sorrca legal or not these tires are awesome
Thanks for the info!
They remind me of the old school rock claws
kinda remind me of the old Hb Rovers. Or maybe the losi rock claws. Rovers were my goto 2.2 like 15 years ago.
Same here. Rovers are still working well in my 2 speed Wraith 2.2. They were also considered as cheater tyres as they are so good.
All about the foams too. You use stock foams or Proline dual?
Looks like a cross between losi rock claws and proline chisels
I ordered a set, finally found em.
Great tires! I’ve been running them for 2 years now. It was a sleeper tire until recently. Oh well
What foams?
@@RCReviewChannel I’m running proline dual stage. I think honestly they’re be better with Crawler Innovations. Keep up the great reviews
Hi, nice review as always!! What do you think of these compared to a very similar tyre... the HPI rover?? look so similar
I had something like these for my xr10 years ago,2.2 tires on it
HB Rovers?
@@danielkonrad1444 yes, those are it
My absolute favorite tire!

Same question about anti foams here!
@@1sickgsx Anti foams wont work with ruptures! theres a huge void between the tire and anti foam, the proline XL works great, along with CI lil novas.
So is it 2.2 inch Jconcepts tires with 1.9inch proline foams?
Francis, those Proline dual foams, are those the 1.9 foams for the XL series tires? And do the fit the Hyrax G8 rock climbers? Thanks for a great channel!!
Just ordered a set for my v3!
You didn't say what size Ostix Halos 1.9 or 2.2 ?
May I ask what's the crawler kit that you're using. Awesome. Performance
Need a set, I am convinced
Ordered my set with your link!
Would like to see these tires perform on a heavy rig. Like TRX4, Gen8 and so on.
Exocaged ran these a little bit ago on a few different rigs and they just plain spanked everything he threw at them. Although not legal they HOOK like velcro. I'm fishing for a set. No luck yet.
He knows what's up.
@@RCReviewChannel So do you! You rock!
How do you like it without the rear springs? Great vid.
Do you have a link to that specific proline dual foam?
Do you vent them?
Curious what body shell is that... I have a red cat gen 8 and I'm looking for something along those lines
What crawler is that it's pretty sweet looking .
hyrax or rockbeast arent better than JC for crawling ?
What model is the car?
Are these at all directional?
I noticed you have chopped part of the carbon chassis rail (rear), could you tell me how you like the way your rig crawls without rear springs? Thanks.
Duratrax c3 compound are awesome, maybe not as good as these but always in stock, i recomend the deep woods for wet wood and smooth rocks and the showdowns for rocks
Duratrax Deep Woods seems similar. They just need gummier compounds.
Those tires look like the tires that come stock on the HPI crawler king bronco my dad has
Could you put these on the bronco 2021 and compare with hyraxes?
Are they legal in class 3?
What body is that please,? The red one in beginning of video.
This is a Proline Power Wagon front cab only.
How do they perform in rain, or wet
I've had these on my SCX10 for a couple years now. I love them. Good all-around performers on my local terrain. "Cheater tire" Pretty much.
What RC is this? New to the game and looking into getting one
Awesome review! I got to get set when come in stock haha 😂
Been on back order for months to my knowledge.
What’s the chassis shown in this video? Scx10?
Location.?

How well would dual stage xl's work?
Do you vent them with the proline 2 stage?
I’d love to get a set but can’t since you guys have reviewed them lol
They were hard to get before. Now, maybe the ebay auction will go through the roof,
I hope you take this as a compliment but I hate crawling. Don't have any interest in that specific area of rc but I watched this video cuz I enjoy your videos! Keel doing good work Frances
Right? Good thing is I'm starting to make good non-crawling content now.
I still have some hot bodies 2.2 rovers in a bag that look exactly the same as far as tread design, the compound probably isn't that far off either.
I'm using Proline Flatiron tires with foams in tires on my Capra!! & same, with 2 stage foams on my 10.3...in rain, had a blast..but like those tires you ran!! 3 weeks later my cars are totally amazing my crawln days. .godspeed!!

I haven't find Gmade MT-1904 tyres review on your channel.
Have you ever tried it?
We tried them. Good tread but so tiny and the rubber quality is not very good.
Always love Lamdmines Jconcept, very impressive for 4.19
Jconcepts knows rubber compounds
Out of stock, not surprised
Hello can you give me the full specifications size width & height of your rims & tire than you
The rim is 1.9 inches and the tire is 5.1 inches. The foam we use is Proline dual-stage, made for 4.8 inch tires so there is a bit of space there to allow the tire to conform and grip.
I prefer the Landmines over the Rupture’s,
Still nice tires.
Yeah, probably the same compound.
@@RCReviewChannel Its soft green.
What happened to the rear springs on the shocks
Cheapest mod ever! Lowerd the vehicle and made it climb and sidehill better. Full droop!!!
@@RCReviewChannel interesting 👊
Man, you should do a review on my product. You would be amazed!!! Looks odd, but best out there
Are these better than the jconcepts tusk? I bought the tusk and they look great but honestly they get outperformed by my prolines bfg krawler tires unless maybe i need to break them in more
Better for sure.
I’m the Bay Area as well I’m in Petaluma
Ruptures are basically copies of HB Rover tires. Rovers have slightly better rubber compound though.
A test with 'stock' rigs would a better gauge...
Ruptures of Tusks?
Ruptures for sure.
What foams is recomended for this tires ?
Definitely Proline Dual Stage are critical for best performance
@@RCReviewChannel thanks !
What gearing do you recommend
The lower the better for us. We love the slow, controlled creep.
Are they better than the hyrax
In most climbing situations, yes
@@RCReviewChannel thanks
Great video amazing channel 👍👍
Thanks… 👏🏾
wow they perform good.
They look like great tires but try them on a stock Trx-4 bronco…
They look like a reconfigured version of their landmines.

Maybe there’s gold at the bottom of that waterfall🥰
U ought to do a video on how to click on links😂😂I am clueless on how. I looked tho😊
They are old MOA comp tires.
Gotta try MOA.
Good review. Really idiotic that J Concepts would come out with a too tall tire that isn't competition legal...
They don't care becuase is the Best sale tire period.
I wonder why they didn't make these legal for competition? You would have thought they would have wanted the attention of the comp world.
A comp tyre has to have a scale appearance or be a replica of a real 1:1 tyre.... they are also larger than the allowed 4.75.. even proline flat irons are illegal at 4.76

They look like the standard hpi crawler king tires
Will have to look those up.
Nice 👍.
