    This literally just saved me so much money and time. With your video instead of almost $100 to get my big printer back up and running I was able to do it for only $12 (rewire of my hot-end). Thank you so much! 👍👍👍👍

    This worked, after trying one firmware for Titan extruder all it did was continue to beep. Maybe because I had filament in the sensor? Removed it, reflashed...working now! Thanks again, this video was helpful on getting the USB port to recognize the printer you have no idea how many pages I looked at to try to find something on this.

    When it comes to finally uploading it, the xloader window at the bottom says can't open port. I've followed the instructions up to this point though

    Good video, going to try this firmware upload tonight. Did you have any issue wiring the BL touch to the connector under the cover of the gantry housing? I see the V2 has a connector ready for the BL touch, and I have it connect to that, just want to make sure it is correct

    Hiya, At 1:10 what do the different titles mean on the website for downloading the firmware? For example, what's the difference between CR10V2_BLT_DW6 and CR10V2_BLT_MC ? And the other ones with ME and UBL?

    Can you flash back an original creality firmware?

    Hi I’m completely new to 3D printning, but from what I have seen on TH-cam I have to Update the firmware to make the printer more safe to use. Until now i have heard about marlin, th3d and now tinymachines. What are the differences between Them, and why did you pick tinymachines?

    • @tjblizzy
      @tjblizzy 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Patrick Avi So first of all Marlin is the source code for these printers. There are new versions of Marlin that come out and people like creality, TH3D, and tiny machines all use marlin to make their own firmware. I use tiny machines because they use a newer version of marlin than the stock creality does. Which has more safety features and better quality of life changes as well. TH3D is pretty much the same as well and minor difference. So just pick whatever you would like

    I am trying to download the appropriate tiny machines firmware for my CR 10 v2 with BL Touch. Any time I try and click the hyperlink from the list of firmwares it just opens the text document in a new Google Chrome tab. Do I need a software or plugin to open/save the hex file?

    I've downloaded XLOADER but I can't get it to open. What am I missing?

      Did you download the whole folder or just the .exe? download the parent folder and try opening it again.

    in order to update my firmware I have to install my printers driver, windows usually automatically installs the driver but in my case it didnt. ive tried to do it manually but no luck. will this work as a workaround even though I dont have the driver installed? I just want to use my bl touch

    • @blackbarsediting9034

      Andre De Amorim only if you have the touch screen. That doesn’t apply to the cr10v2

    Will this firmware work on the SKR Mini E3 V2?

  • @weirdo9431
    @weirdo9431 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    I just tried to upload this firmware, but all the files on that firmware page are '.gz'. it appears that when you download the file, it opens or saves to your computer as just a .hex, but mine does not. Xloader will not see the .gz file, and when i remove the .gz from the filename and try to upload it, it just says "0 bytes uploaded" and no change to the printer (even though it reboots itself). what am I missing?

    • @DG-wg1qw
      @DG-wg1qw 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      After download the fil is still packed ("zipped"), showed with the gz ending. Just use software like WinZip to extract it, then you have the".hex" you need. Worked well for me...

    • @weirdo9431
      @weirdo9431 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, that did work for me, once I got 7Zip and extracted it correctly with that. In the video, he seems to just download it from the site and extract automatically or doesn’t show it, but works great now!

      @@willthiessen6361 BTW, I figured this out. Use my MBP, Cura, and the proper firmware download I was able to connect directly over USB and update the firmware.
