Matchbox restoration John Deere Tractor nr 50 & Trailer nr 51 diecast car

The tractor and trailer I received comes from 1964. It lacked tires, steering wheel and barrels on the trailer. I made all the missing parts based on others that match this model.

Super restoration. Looks great. An earlier version of this tractor, the Lanz Bulldog, was quite popular here, in Australia. I see restored running examples at steam traction engine rallies. To start a Bulldog, the driver releases the removable steering wheel and shaft. Place in the flywheel, and turn it over to start the engine: a 10 litre single cylinder! The Bulldog bounces alot from the enormous single piston.

What an amazing reno and the time consuming moulds that give a great result. Well done Paul if ever you run out of jell for paint stripping Bob Willis gets an excellent result using caustic soda in boiling water. Stay safe mate 👍
