These videos contain some elusive magic that makes you drop everything and stare at the screen, forgetting about everything and opening your mouth)) This is a process of creation combined with the process of rebirth of a thing that, it would seem, is already suitable only for scrap or just for the trash. This is a combination of excellent professional skills of the master with technology. I am fascinated and bewitched by these videos! If only people could be repaired in the same way and made even more beautiful and newer than they were originally! I'm giving you a standing ovation!
There is something incredibly nostalgic about these old toys. A time when the world had not heard of plastics and toys like this were very very special. Can you imagine getting something like this as a kid in those days? To think of all the tooling and planning that went into building a toy like this back then. This was a beautiful restore and your editing was very good (loved the intro). My only teensie weensie critique would have been the two top screws being lined up with the others ; ) Love watching your restores, keep up the great work.
Getting something like this as a kid nowadays would be just as amazing I'd think, perhaps more, because it isn't plastic and looks more like a realistic train! When I was little my father put together his old train set for us kids every year as a tradition, during our Winter Holiday break, and they were EXTREMELY heavyweight train cars I remember, like solid heavyweight metal that would've definitely hurt you if anyone would've accidentally dropped one on your foot or wasn't handling them carefully. It was in the steam train style and had metal tracks and even these little tablets to put into the steamstacks of the engines that made 'steam'. I believe it was electric run, but not too sure, it was a family heirloom handed down. It was huge and complex and quite a sight when all the tracks were laid out and the whole train and cars were chugging along, and I adored the caboose! What happy holiday memories with extended family this brought back!❤

This is simple, well-made low-tech clockwork, but look at the artistry of the actual body and lines of the car. Like the clockwork engine, the materials are ALL metal and as symmetrical as any precision work. Keep doing what you're doing! This is BEAUTIFUL 😊

Fascinating. I would never have the patience to do this, and even if I did, I would be the sort who ends up with one part left over and no idea where it goes!
When I saw at the very end where he winds up the toy and sets it free... it brought back the memory of a young boy with his first clockwork trainset. Many years ago! 😊
The company that made this train obviously never thought anyone would go through or (pay a horologist to go through the trouble) of servicing the clock work, the fact that you got it going when the clock work was riveted together and there was serious damage is impressive. It turned out beautiful and I love how it's really just steel origami holding it together. :)
What a incredible pleasure it was watching you restore this beautiful model. You sir are extremely talented, i thank you for sharing this with all of us .👍

A Märklin locomotive deserved this magnificent restoration.
There is a very realistic sound when, in motion, the wheels pass through the expansion spaces... beautiful!
Yes, the sound is fantastic.
I never cease to be impressed when those badly corroded and seized clockwork mechanisms are returned to like-new condition! Amazing work, as always.
Amazing! No "child's" toy is made to be fixed these days, nor for many decades. Great work!
