Everyone needs a light,
so here I am, shining bright.
Something's broken inside me,
but I can never let anyone see.
It grates like shattered glass,
but I pretend to be made of brass.
So, if I hide it well enough,
I can make it through the rough.
I will give hope to all those who yearn,
and accept nothing, it was not meant to return.
Nothing waits for me anymore,

But as I live through each and every day,
I find it easy to know what to say.

I just broke up with my long term partner. He was everything to me. This music helps me search through my hollow heart - whatever that's left in me.
nothing is lost and you have everything left...it will just take time to put it all back together...maybe it will end up shaped the same way it used to be...but maybe all the pieces will form something completely new and exciting within you...again: nothing is lost...it all can be found.
C. Wong you'll find the one for you, I know you will. I recently had a break up with a girl I had been with for about 3 years, and I was so devastated when she wanted to end it. I was depressed for a good long while, but eventually I decided not to give up. Then, as if like a miracle, I met the most beautiful boy I had ever seen (for those that haven't picked up by now, I'm bisexual). He was amazingly sweet, loving, and caring. We became friends very quickly and it didn't take long for him to open up to me. Not long after, we started dating, and we've been having the most wonderful relationship, with no end in sight. My point in telling this is not to give up, that when you think positively and focus on what's working in your life, you will get good things back. Your soulmate is out there, waiting to meet you, I promise. ^^
CATHAR OF HOPE they're right. The universe always knows what you want. You just have to be happy and trust that it will happen when it's right. A great psychologist and therapist I know always says "there are no absolutes." In this case, that would mean that it is not impossible to find the one you are meant to be with. Keep your hope, my friend, it will serve you well ^^
well...I did not want to imply that I want C. Wong to find a new partner and relationship (disclaimer: I also don't want them to NOT find a partner of course...it was just not what I was aiming at with my comment)
I wanted them to know that they would heal even though they feel like "whaterver is left in [them]" might be less than before the relationship with their boyfriend. there is no such thing as "less" in a personality...there is just costant change and re-evaluation....adjustment and recentering.
CATHAR OF HOPE hold on to that love, but be open to other relationships. It's perfectly possible to regain an amazing relationship with someone you've loved for a long time, but it's also possible to find someone else you love even more, like I did. Just keep a positive outlook and the universe will repay you in kind. ^^
This is beautiful. It helps me through my depression and as i listen to this i drift away and it just calms me down.

I've stumbled and fallen in love many times, but eventually I found someone who I came to love more than anything, someone who leaned on me and let me lean on him. Don't think about all the breakups. That will hurt you. When you play several games of Tic Tac Toe, do you remember the times you win or the times you lose? You'll typically remember your wins. So I encourage you to search for your soulmate, because they are out there, waiting to find you and ready to love you. And along the way, think about what's working for you, not what's failing. Call me crazy, but I know that when you send positivity to the universe, you get positivity back.
