1967, the year I joined a Judo, Karate, and Jiu-Jitsu club teaching self-defense. (Kodokan Judo, Hakko-Ryu Jiu-jitsu, and Uechi-ryu Karate). Here in Boston, MA.
This Video was interesting. A time when Americans were in better physical shape than today. Many of today's generation know how to take selfies, but not self defense. Physical activity has lost it's importance. What a shame. We should be prepared to defend ourselves, our loved one and Our Great Nation.
It's at @1:23 that makes the reality of the martial arts distinguished from sports. In 1967 Kodokan Judo had not yet been entered into the Olympics. And as I was taught, and still teach, Judo is not a sport (combat sport is an oxymoron). What's happening today with the MMA and UFC is the martial arts are being twisted into some kind of spectator sport.
"Everyone has a time when they feel their best physically and mentally. It's important to recognize that phase and draw inspiration from it to improve ourselves. What do you think?"
"Thank you for your feedback! You're absolutely right, practical and effective moves are more important than flashy techniques. I'll keep this in mind for future content!"🤩 Please share this video 😍

So what?
@@longdongsilver4719 So I've been active in the Martial Arts since 1967. When did you start?
@@bustercrabbe8447 What's the connection between you and that video? Because frankly, nobody cares about the year you started anything.
@longdongsilver4719 you tell me

This is 57-years-old, but yeah, I like dis and I was never in the military. Common(?) sense moves.
"That's really impressive! Age is just a number, and having common sense and staying active can make a big difference. Glad you liked it!"
Time when nation was healthy physically and mentally 😪

Did they learn judo or jujutsu at that time?
May be I don't know 🤗🤗
Supposedly, the person who created this curriculum for the army was Henry Okazaki, the founder of Danzan Ryu Jujitsu.
