Thanks so much Blaine, I was fooling around with the shoulder buttons for the longest time. I didn’t know that they could be added on at the end until I saw your video!
dude, I kinda broke one of the shoulder housings because I couldn't get the stick out and I pushed a bit too hard while you said pushing it gently is enough, not for me I guess lol.. it didn't fall off but it's way looser now, I hope I can support it with a foam material inside or something and that it doesn't fall off completely.. sorry that this english is probably too hard to understand
My controller has broken trigger legs, just put it back together and it's working fine. My guess is that so long as the ribbons are fine, you'll be able to slide the triggers into the alloted slots on the casing and it'll go together and work. Not guaranteed, of course, but if you break the little plastic legs then try putting your controller back together anyway before buying a new one.
Slight problem buddy, I tried to do this today and come to find out the screws were stripped. Any ideas ladies and germs? I also have the screwdriver set he has.
I'm too scared to open my dualshock 2. I've had like 5 of them and tried opening the last 3~ and all of them stopped working after re-assembly before. It annoys me because these aren't being made anymore so they're hard to find as well.
mine seems a bit different... thumb controls not keyed, d-pad clip also has 4 legs and seems to not matter for direction. Rubber pads as well, on mine the black dots faced the circuit not away from it.
Hopefully people see this comment but the second I opened it all 4 legs broke off when the pieces dry I’m going to put it together and see if it still works if not would gluing them back work?
Buen video , aunque te falto dar mantenimiento a las 2 laminas de acetato que y a la pbc en general incluso los analogicos necesitan limpiarse para su correcto funcionamiento
Me watching the "be really careful with the tiny small legs of the R-L buttons" advice at the same time I broke them
Did it still work whit them broken?
@@isackaguilar3058I also broke them but they still work!

also you pushed the controller down while taking the second stick off, might have thought it was safe.. well, what can I do now?
just realized it will be supported inside the controller, it should be fine I hope
I'm scared of negative side effects, gonna let you know tomorrow
aight, I haven't noticed any drawback and I'm lucky it didn't fall off completely

Excellent video. Informative but concise 👍
Significantly easier than ps3/4 controllers because you don’t have to worry about the battery
Very helpful video. Thank you!

Maybe give them to a guy who knows this stuff and fix your last 3 controllers
I need to rip 2 of mine apart of fix the usb connections. This is helpful!
My O button isn't working. How do I get that working again? It's an important button on the game I play.
my ps2 controller seems to be a different version the mother board has numbers there's a large F on the upper right corner an yea same processes right

Nice video, it's easier and cheaper to buy new one.

Thanks for the tutorial, but you didnt say anything about a rubber on second part of the controller, if a rubber goes down, gamepad didnt work.
Omg thanks man my square button was dodgy thanks
Oh well broke mine, time to buy a new one!

I'm going to try this because my controller has a sticky analog stick and 3 of the buttons are sticky.
