How can you dislike this? It's most clear and precise explanation of attributes.

The sail triangle is the perfect analogy for me to understand vertex attributes. Thank you !

Just remember the V in the word vertex looks like a triangle and you will never forget.

took me 3 days to understand that houdini calls faces "Primitives", and objects "detail".

I'm loving this series! Thank you so much! Although the sail triangle analogy was a bit too specific for me to make a mental model... I come from a sociology background and found that points and vertices could be seen as persons (points) and their roles (vertices) in a given group (polygon) i.e. one person/point can hold, or be defined, by multiple roles/vertices, like one vertex could be the role of a co-worker inside a company/polygon, but that same person could also hold the role of a son inside a family/another-polygon, and so on...

Hi. Are you guys using a tablet with Houdini? I'm not sure if this is always the best replacement for mouse in 3D. In classic style modeling I find it sometimes less precise than mouse but on the other hand it's much more comfortable to work with, especially for my wrist (after 8 hours sitting in work on a mouse).

Hi. If your graphics tablets pen has two side button you can easily replace a mouse. Also make sure there's a way to simulate scrolling (wacom intuos has a touch wheel for that). Houdini does not seem to require scrolling but if you want to fully replace a mouse for some other software it may be required. Wacom (probably other manufacturers too) has an option to emulate mouse behavior, less precise but very useful if you have multiple monitors.
I had some issues with "sticky" right click in Maya but I assume it is a hardware problem with my pen. So far I have not encountered any problem using Houdini.
I personally have been using just tablet for more than 5 years, the mouse is nowhere near my desk.

@@CajkSe Hey. Thanks for tips. I'm using xp-pen and it feels great. Maybe it's just the thing that I'm more used to mouse. In work using it 8 hours for about 12 years now and working on tablet at home for just only 2 months. I think it's time to change the job :D

@@CajkSe Привет! Смею предположить, что можно обратиться на русском) А какой именно Ваком используешь? Выбираю между wacom intuos S или M, боюсь ошибиться с размером. Основной рабочий софт - нюк, гудини. Буду благодарна за совет
