    Well, this video answers a question I had about Cozy's relationship with RJD. Sad. I'm a huge fan of both their work! RIP Cozy RIP Ronnie

      Agreed, that's a real shame but big egos tend to crash.

    I've always loved Tony Iommi's guitar, but I've never been that Sabbath fan. But suddenly Cozy Powell came in, and he achieved the impossible with me - he made me a Sabbath fan!!!

    The song Headless Cross is Heaven and Hell amped up. The main riff and solo are incredible. Tony took Black Sabbath to heights Dio couldn't although Dio is incredible, too. Just different. The albums with Tony are some of the best metal ever created. P.S. There is something to be said about Dehumanizer.

    It took me a while to get into Black Sabbath, TBH. I was definitely a Hard Rock fan in the late 80's when I was a kid, and I would've loved the Cozy/Tony Martin era back then. I would've flipped over Tyr in the early 90s. This was exactly the sort of music I started out liking. But it was the last Sabbath I was exposed to. This was never once on my radar in all of that time.

    MY FAVORITE SABBATH ERA AWAYS WAS DIO'S AND THE TONY'S ERA !!! HEAVEN & HELL, MOB RULES, ETERNAL IDOL, THE HEADLESS CROSS , TYR & CROSS PURPOSES are masterpieces!!!
    Of course i love the Sabbath original (Tony, Geezer, Ozzt & Bill)
    But i love even more
    DIO'S AND THE TONY'S ERA !!! THE BEST!!! Fuck the Ozzy's ball-suckers!!! I'll never change my opinion!

    The Ozzy era, the originals, the best. All other subsequent line-up changes were quite great, vastly different, and i do believe that those changes, though,may have been chaotic, were nonetheless a great reason why Sabbath has lasted so long. Let's face it, you can choose 70s Sabbath. Then in the 80s, you have Dio, Ian Gillan, Glenn Hughes, Ray Gillen, Tony Martin, and a night with Robert Halford from Judas Priest lol, which was fkn awesome. If you want a different Black Sabbath, you have several choices. I like and appreciate that very much. Black Sabbath is by far my favorite band.

      Not long before that interview, R.J. Dio announced, he wanted to reform RAINBOW, but Blackmore said no.
      Two years later, Dio rejoined BLACK SABBATH.

    Tony is a superstar bit a humble one! According to Geezer book Tony was at a financial low point in the eighties. Must’ve been hard to see Ozzy super successful while sabbath was struggling with multiple lineups. I never could get into the eh Martin era. It’s very generic 80s rock.

  • @DeadnWoon
    @DeadnWoon 6 วันที่ผ่านมา

    Tony Martin may be a great person, but in all honesty his speaking voice and his appearance in the interview... are unconvincing may I dare say. Cozy and Tony Iommi look and sound like two alpha males, both physically and what else. Tony sounds weak and look weak. He may be a great person, anyway. But he is not Ian Gillan or Ozzy physically and spoken-words-wise.
