I don’t know what the issue was keeping these albums hidden away here in the states. Maybe next year I’ll get an odd surprise and finally see Samhain streaming as well since Diamondhead also had some albums come out of hiding

Seconded. His fingerings take the cork off of my mind, it just makes emotions flow. Many good musicians can do this, but Iommi has always had something special, and he never lost it.

I'm so SICK AND TIRED of all these other eras of Sabbath finally getting recognition, usually about 3 decades after the fact. Where the F were all these suddenly enlightened fans, back in the day? I know, I know....maybe they literally were't around. Who knows, I suppose it's great Tony is re-releasing this.That, and it is important that people hear these records, don't get me wrong. The best of the era (IMO) , The Eternal Idol is oddly not on this group of reissues but I guess that's something to do w/licensing or whatnot. I just remember decades back, when people would pan all of this non-Ozzy material, and it couldn't have been more apparent that they'd never even bothered to listen to it. ALL eras of Sabbath were great, 'cuz Iommi continued to evolve as a player & composer & the heaviness was still there, the songs were still there.....and most importantly, THE RIFFS were big time still there. These records literally carried me through the Glam & Grunge nonsense that plagued rock & roll back then. It only took the general rock fraternity 27 yrs to acknowledge the Dio years were killer, people are still stupefied over Born Again ( one of Sabbath's best ) & apparently Seventh Star still isn't on anyone's radar. Did Black Sabbath have any true die-hard fans after Ozzy left? I sometimes wonder.... now this, it only takes 35+ yrs for people to realize there was someone else who sang, after Dio. Oh well.....rant over

An excellent decision to buy those albums. Without exaggeration, I assure you that over the years you will like those beautiful albums even more, Tony Martin is a great singer, I love that era as much as everything they did before.
Always loved the shots of Cozy in that video, love his drumming style so much man. Hard hitting, but he swings with it and it's always musical. Headless Cross is one of my all time favourite albums. Cheers to the Two Tony's.

Cozy Powell's contribution to those albums cannot be overstated. Guy was incredible how he could dip in and out of Tony's riffs with the drums and cymbals is something quite marvelous. Miss that guy something fierce. ❤🎸 🥁 ❤

I was fortunate enough to talk to Bobby Rondinelli about it at a Blue Oyster Cult concert, August 2000 in Calgary, Alberta.
Here in the US, NOBODY knew Sabbath had a new album out, it seemed. I was in high school, and happened across the Headless Cross video on MTV Headbangers Ball. I quickly went out and bought the cassette, which was readily available in stores. That was the beginning of my Sabbath journey, and the Tony Martin era is my favorite to this day!
This is literally surreal! It's just amazing to see you two again, and in good spirits. Anticipating my box set and hoping for something more to happen between the two T's. All these years, waiting for this to happen, has finally paid of. Im thankful. 🙏❤️🤘🔥🤘
Was fortunate enough to see Sabbath with Martin twice: at the infamous riot gig in Athens, Greece in 1987 and in Philadelphia, USA 1994 Cross Purposes tour. He was magnificent. Top of his game. Please Tony Iommi, do a reunion tour. Don't care if it can't be under the Sabbath monicker. Name the band Headless Cross, whatever. Hell, even if you call it The Majestic Polka Dancers from Outer Space, we will still come by the thousands.

Headless Cross is an all time favorite of mine, play it all the time. I actually maybe play it too often, but it is that good. Great to see you guys again, you should do another album coz Tony has so many riffs unused.
Headless Cross album is an immortal masterpiece. I still listen to it since it was out. And I totally loved each Sabbath album with Tony Martin on vocals. Stunning voice, very great melodies, amazing sound, superb songwriting in those albums. Much love and respect from Italy, mr. Iommi. You've been the soundtrack of my whole youth.

Saw you guys in Milwaukee at the Eagles Ballroom the Cross Purposes tour. Sounded great! No easy task for that room for sure. Hearing Into The Void was a religious experience, and I'm an atheist! Motorhead opened, Lemmy at the Rave Bar downstairs drinking us under the table. Thank you!
The fake grunge trend is what prompted the shift from the Tyr sound to Dehumanizer. That and Ronnie's angst. We were robbed when the 80s was cut short. But yeah, Iommi Martin reunited!

Headless Cross is an all time favorite of mine, play it all the time. I actually maybe play it too often, but it is that good. Great to see you guys again, you should do another album coz Tony has so many riffs unused.

Headless Cross album is an immortal masterpiece. I still listen to it since it was out. And I totally loved each Sabbath album with Tony Martin on vocals. Stunning voice, very great melodies, amazing sound, superb songwriting in those albums. Much love and respect from Italy, mr. Iommi.

the first concert I ever went to on my own was Black Sabbath during the Headless Cross / Tyr era. so happy that this rerelease is finally happening! 🎉❤ brings back memories. 🤘😊

Saw you guys in Milwaukee at the Eagles Ballroom the Cross Purposes tour. Sounded great! No easy task for that room for sure. Hearing Into The Void was a religious experience, and I'm an atheist! Motorhead opened, Lemmy at the Rave Bar downstairs drinking us under the table. Thank you!

The fake grunge trend is what prompted the shift from the Tyr sound to Dehumanizer. That and Ronnie's angst. We were robbed when the 80s was cut short.

Headless Cross is one of the greatest Black Sabbath albums. A "Headless Cross" progect playing live those amazing albums of Tony Martin era of Black Sabbath will be just amazing.....we miss the melodic dark Black Sabbath!

As an American Sabbath fan, I thought Headless Cross, and Tyr were EPIC.
IMHO as good as Heaven and Hell, and The Mob Rules.
