I'm so SICK AND TIRED of all these other eras of Sabbath finally getting recognition, usually about 3 decades after the fact. Where the F were all these suddenly enlightened fans, back in the day? I know, I know....maybe they literally were't around. Who knows, I suppose it's great Tony is re-releasing this. That, and it is important that people hear these records, don't get me wrong. The best of the era (IMO) , The Eternal Idol is oddly not on this group of reissues but I guess that's something to do w/licensing or whatnot. I just remember decades back, when people would pan all of this non-Ozzy material, and it couldn't have been more apparent that they'd never even bothered to listen to it. ALL eras of Sabbath were great, 'cuz Iommi continued to evolve as a player & composer & the heaviness was still there, the songs were still there.....and most importantly, THE RIFFS were big time still there. These records literally carried me through the Glam & Grunge nonsense that plagued rock & roll back then. It only took the general rock fraternity 27 yrs to acknowledge the Dio years were killer, people are still stupefied over Born Again ( one of Sabbath's best ) & apparently Seventh Star still isn't on anyone's radar. Did Black Sabbath have any true die-hard fans after Ozzy left? I sometimes wonder.... now this, it only takes 35+ yrs for people to realize there was someone else who sang, after Dio. Oh well.....rant over

Even if it was just for one show, please do a Tony Martin/Sabbath reunion show where only Martin era songs are played! Similar to the Heaven & Hell project, and release it on blu ray and CD!!

I got Headless Cross when it came out (in the USA) , and liked it pretty well among the non-Ozzy and non-Dio albums.
Cool stories from Tony & Tony!

Nice interview, is beautiful and touching to see you together again.
It would be even more exciting to see Iommi and Martin form a band including also Geezer and Rondinelli (the formation of Cross Purposes basically), make an album and go for a tour.

Headless Cross album is an immortal masterpiece. I still listen to it since it was out. And I totally loved each Sabbath album with Tony Martin on vocals. Stunning voice, very great melodies, amazing sound, superb songwriting in those albums. Much love and respect from Italy, mr. Iommi.
You've been the soundtrack of my whole youth.

Saw you guys in Milwaukee at the Eagles Ballroom the Cross Purposes tour. Sounded great! No easy task for that room for sure. Hearing Into The Void was a religious experience, and I'm an atheist! Motorhead opened, Lemmy at the Rave Bar downstairs drinking us under the table. Thank you!

The fake grunge trend is what prompted the shift from the Tyr sound to Dehumanizer. That and Ronnie's angst. We were robbed when the 80s was cut short.
    But yeah, Iommi Martin reunited!
