      Detail Groove I managed customer service for an Idaho state agency. I have a couple of side businesses but havent really decided what to commit to. I find that most businesses lack reasonably good customer service. It all starts at the top and I think most people are tolerant of higher prices and other issues if there is great customer service. Some people seem to be born with that skill, for the rest of us its a challenge to put the customer first. You treat your viewers like customers and you have a gift.

    • @DetailGroove
      @DetailGroove  7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Thanks for the kind words! And yes, VERY TRUE! I'd say 80% of businesses do not care about the customer. And yes, that all starts with leadership from upper management. This is one of the better books I've read on customer service: www.amazon.com/Secret-Service-Systems-Unforgettable-Customer/dp/0814471714

    As far as headlight rest goes, I'd suggest getting some practice lenses first to perfect your technic and experiment on. Get some old Headlights along side the highway from previous accidents, rummage thru body shop trash bins, go to a junkyard and get some bad ones for a discount or advertise on 5 mile for crap lights pay $5 a light maybe...or CL.

    • @DetailGroove
      @DetailGroove  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      I would just practice on friends/family member cars. As long as you're taking your time and you're following a system, it's going to be difficult to completely trash some headlights. Although that's just my opinion!

    This might be asking too much but you wouldn't happen to have a list of what you use for which part of the car would you? Meaning a list for exterior, list for interior, engine cleaning. I don't want to create another task just thought I'd ask and see if you do. I want to offer interior and exterior with as much options as I can but don't want buy a ton of unnecessary things I'm seeing from Google

    • @DetailGroove
      @DetailGroove  7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      When you're first starting off, you don't want to offer as many services as you can. Start off with a few and work off of that. I recommend interior cleaning, engine cleaning, wash, and wash and wax services. That's it. Here's a list of some of the tools and products I use: detailgroove.co/resources/

    Never thought about exhaust polishing. Do you mean like a chrome tipped exhaust or a standard steel exhaust pipe? Do you have a video on this?

    • @DetailGroove
      @DetailGroove  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You can essentially do it to all forms of exhaust tips. In a general sense, exhaust polishing would mean just make it look better than the current condition. That could mean using a chrome polish on it, or that can mean sanding it down and polishing it up

    • @DetailGroove

    Im only a teenager but I have lots of dreams and have made plans for my future. I want to become a captain. But cars are my true passion, so When I am 3rd Captain, or 2nd captain of a ship (3rd, 2nd Captains are paid very very well in Greece), I want to save money and open my auto detailing (and vinyl wrapping) business. (If the business doesn't go well I will have some money from my other job) What do you think of this? I want to take some courses for this but I wont be able to work full time at the business because I will be on the ship for 6 months a year. What's your opinion? Go for it or forget it? Thanks and by the way great vid!
