Beogradski Gejmer I wish there was a game formulated based on that time period with a first person viewpoint. It's usually the grand strategy types that present Prussia on a campaign map. One of the most revolutionary things I've admired about Battlefield 1 and Verdun was how they allow someone to play as a soldier representing the German Empire. A point in history not too far off from the Prussian State.
There's Mount And Blade: Napoleonic Wars and Mods for the Franco-Prussian War, It's an old game, with a fair number of toxic players, but it's still perfectly playable, also, from what I can tell most of the toxic players are just memeing about other toxic players and don't take it too seriously.

Truly ironic that "The Silent One", born in 1800, would be one of very few voices to survive to us. @@MedicplayingCSGO Yeah you basically have to get Austro-Hungry killed by the common Serb enemy you find before the Tsar Nicholas's boss fight which is really hard seance the enemy is pretty weak. Sure you can lose against them but it's almost impossible to get killed by them.
The thingy that Wilhelm is shouting into is one of the first devices that recorded voices/ audio. It would have a needle make a line into a wachs/ candle wax cylinder and the device could later use the line to create the spoken in audio format. But most often you couldn't hear anything, because wax wasn't a good recording material. Sadly I don't know how it is called. I guess, I must dissapoint you. Through the establishment of the German Empire in 1871 the Kingdom of Prussia gave up most of its sovereignity to the Empire, until finally ceasing to exist with the declaration of the constitution of the German Empire of 1919. Thus, you cannot be Prussian, since the Kingdom of Prussia does not exist as a political entity.
There's plenty of dead countries...Scotland...But that doesn't mean you aren't Scottish. And yes thank you, I'm seriously in the middle of writing about the fall of Prussia for a report so I know pretty well. :)
Scotland is not a dead country. It exists as a political entity and is one country of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland. It has its own parliament, laws, executive powers... There is not a lot more than military and the sovereign in what is shares with the rest of the UK. Compared to that, Prussia IS dead. And that does mean you aren't Prussian, whereas Scotland exists which means one can be Scottish. Just like that, nobody can claim he's a Roman, for the simple fact that the Roman Empire does not exist as a political entity in modern times.

Sadly, there are no WW1 veterans still alive to this day. You only got WW2 veterans, and even they are slowly fading away from this world.

I guess, I must dissapoint you. Through the establishment of the German Empire in 1871 the Kingdom of Prussia gave up most of its sovereignity to the Empire, until finally ceasing to exist with the declaration of the constitution of the German Empire of 1919. Thus, you cannot be Prussian, since the Kingdom of Prussia does not exist as a political entity.
There's plenty of dead countries...Scotland...But that doesn't mean you aren't Scottish. And yes thank you, I'm seriously in the middle of writing about the fall of Prussia for a report so I know pretty well. :)
Scotland is not a dead country. It exists as a political entity and is one country of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland. It has its own parliament, laws, executive powers... There is not a lot more than military and the sovereign in what is shares with the rest of the UK. Compared to that, Prussia IS dead. And that does mean you aren't Prussian, whereas Scotland exists which means one can be Scottish. Just like that, nobody can claim he's a Roman, for the simple fact that the Roman Empire does not exist as a political entity in modern times.
You must really not like Prussia ;-; Well in ancestry I am. My great Grandpa came from Stettin, Königsberg and weather it's Szczecin and Kaliningrad today or not I still do like Prussia. And I guess I will study a dead culture
The question is not whether or not I like Prussia, or whether or not you do. The question is, whether it is possible to consider oneself Prussian, which one cannot, since Prussia does no longer exist. Your ancestors may have been Prussian, since when they lived, Prussia still existed.
