So glad I got to see Leeds at Headingley that year. As an American, I don't have many chances to see RL in person so that was always going to part of the plan for the UK trip.
I was at that game and I was just 7 years old. One of the last memories I have with my grandad. Best feeling ever. I don’t think it will ever happen again. Not in my lifetime at least
The one year as a 16 year old lad I used every penny i had to attend games over that season, managed the majority of home games and convinced my dad to tske me to the grand final (Ive been to 6 with the Rhinos!) What a season. What memories, rugby league has never really felt the same since!
Wigan killed their own momentum with that penalty goal instead of taking the tap. Seriously, leading by 4 is no different than leading by 2. If the other team scores and converts they will take the lead either way. I doubt you'd see a single NRL club do that in a GF and you definitely wouldn't hear a commentator actually call it a good idea. I was pulling my hair out when they took the two.
Doesn't matter if they were "lucky" or not, they got them, you lost, we won. Spit that bitter pie out of your mouth and take a nice forkful of humble pie and accept that you lost to the best side this season. Maybe next year will be a different story, who knows? But this year, Leeds were the most consistent and deserved all three trophies, which is exactly what we got.
weird that isnt it because if u look at the second leeds try it clearly shows watkins knocking on but u probably DIDNT SEE THAT did u haha well at least the rfl got what they wanted leeds to win everything shove your yorkshire attitude up your arse ur fuck all next year mate
Well leeds only won this game because of 3 reasons. A it was obvious that they were going to win the treble. B It was kylies kevs and jps last game for the club. And Finally C a very interesting decision on the joel moon try. Period!
Honestly I can accept losing fairly but when Danny maguire clearly knocks on, on Joel moon's try. I was sat tight next to it as well in the stand. Leeds got extremely lucky with the treble, Scott grix won them the league leaders shield ( giving ball to hall to score in the last second of the game ), they had the easiest finalists at Wembley possible and they were wrongly gifted a try at old Trafford, utter crap

MANCHESTER UNITED are you ill or just obsessed?
@MANCHESTER UNITED Mate, I see you everywhere on RL videos. You are proper fucking weird. Probably just a plastic, glory-hunting Man U fan anyway.
MANCHESTER UNITED F.C what a fuckin Prick !

Could have been any team getting lucky though. Sometimes the game goes for, and sometimes against, it's shit but it happens.
