  • Leeds Rhinos won seven Grand Finals, two League Leaders Shields, two World Club Challenges and the Challenge Cup in a glorious decade of success between 2004 and 2014 and here the people behind that glory reflect on an unprecedented period of success in a salary cap sport.

That 2003 challenge cup final is why Leeds now go for the two points as often as possible

In my opinion that exact moment shaped the career of Kevin Sinfield. He became a better captain, tougher mentality and learned how to kick tactically (for 2 points). Yes that was heartbreaking for Leeds but it was that game when they learned to win.

How can the golden era exclude 2015 with the triple?

Blubbed like a baby at the end of 2004 GF. I had been there for 26 of those 32 barren years!

The above information is wrong. The Rhinos only won six Grand Finals between 2004 - 2014. 2004, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2011 and 2012. The other two Grand Final wins in Super League came in 2015 (their treble year) and 2017. Also, The Rhinos won three World Club Challenges between 2004 - 2014, not two: 2005; 2008 and 2012.

These days will never likely to be seen again at Leeds . I’ll not forget how lucky the fans have been to witness such a bunch of talented, relentless, determined bunch of players who wore that jersey with such pride. It puts football to shame Yorkshire should be so proud of Leeds rhinos . Happy days and still brings a small tear to my eye when I see the little fella duck , weave , step, sprint and dive over God bless you Robbie our prayers are with you
