    How do you feel after taking Wellbutrin?

    • @tami-johutchins1547
      @tami-johutchins1547 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I have been on Wellbutrin for around fifteen years or more. I have been on different milligrams but only XL. The 450 mg works best for me. First, they paired it with celexa but then years later changed it to various others. They also only tried to give me Wellbutrin alone. Now, I am paired with the celexa again. I have always suffered with depression however my mother becoming disabled just made me want to stop existing. We were extremely close n always together. Totally best friends and went everywhere together like best friends or sisters. To watch her change from a strong woman to being in a wheelchair (eventually bedridden from the botched spine surgery) made me so angry at the quack Drs who caused this tragedy and depressed from seeing my mom deteriorate in front of my eyes that I became emotionless. Wellbutrin with celexa saved my life and allowed me to smile again. I started off with 300mg XL with celexa but now take 450 XL. After being on Wellbutrin for all of these years I find that it allows me to wake up and have enough energy to get through the day. It doesn't give me extra energy but the type of energy that people normally have everyday The only side effects that I think may be from the Wellbutrin is that I am nauseous in the mornings until I take my meds. Ever since I was little I have felt sick in the AM so I don't know if it really is related to the med. Nevertheless, I feel better after I take it...usually pretty fast but sometimes it may take up to about thirty minutes. Nevertheless, it may not work well with everyone. I know a guy that was put on Wellbutrin but he had the same type of heart palpitations as you did so he stopped taking it. To me, it is a God send. Although I still have depression, it is now manageable. (BTW, your dog looks just like the poodle that I grew up with named Pierre. He was "THE dog" of my life. IYKYK.)

      I've been on Wellbutrin for years and it's been helping me a lot. I'm on 300 mg. I take that along with another med for anxiety and they both are helping me. I'm so glad I decided to take it. Life is so much better now.

    Thank you for your honest video. I wish you all the luck and peace on your journey.
    I started a round of 150 XL a couple of years ago to help with S.A.D., which in truth, was moderate to severe depression. It helped me have one of the most positive winters I’d ever experienced. When spring rolled around, I felt depression coming back. I knew it was time to double up the dose, or walk away from it completely. I chose the latter. The next two years was going back to smoking weed, which then became a daily routine again and I was right back to where I was. Suicide was never more than a few steps away from common thought. No attempts were ever made, but I was plagued by so many thoughts of it, I’d watched my own funeral in my mind several times.
    I’ve started back on the 150 XL a week ago, quit weed cold turkey and already, I can feel a difference. I’m still cranky AF due to the withdrawal from weed, but that will pass in time and the future does look a little brighter.
    Here’s to the beautiful struggle of life we all wrestle with. I do wonder though, in the end, will we think this was all worth it?

      OMG that's such an insightful post! We need you around just for being a good orator alone! Yeah man depression is crazy. For me at least it's amplified by a disconnection from other people so hopefully these little youtube videos provide some sense of comfort and community. Hugs!!

      I appreciate that, man! It’s funny, when I’m not in the darkness, the thought patterns that plague us seem distant and frankly, absurd. Almost like it was someone else thinking them. But alas, it’s the light and dark that make all of us. Just some of us have a much longer spread with the spectrum of highs to lows. The lows indeed suck, but their counterparts can be pretty fkn awesome sometimes. 😏
      Keep your light shining! Consider me subbed. Big up from Toronto.

    Wow. First time seeing you. You echo many of my thoughts, and you show some good wisdom, hard-won, I'm sure.
    My depression isn't typical. It isn't really like sadness, but I do have major depression and my doctor recommended bupropion (Welbutrin) when fluoxetine (Prozac) didn't help me at all. It changed my life! I tried going off it for two weeks (different story) but I only lasted five days. That was the clincher - I don't ever want to be without this drug. I also take duloxetine (Cymbalta) as a complement to the bupropion. Also a very good medicine.
    Which leads me to my real point: gratitude. I have thought often what you expressed, that I'm so lucky to live in a time when when there are good treatments for all 🥴 of my chronic conditions. You're right. In 1950, not only were there no good drugs to treat depression, but any mental "problems" were considered shameful, weak, and hush-hush. And women's medical needs were even more marginalized than they are today.
    Sorry for the long post. Wishing you more good health and success!

Honestly brought be back to the old me that loved life. Before I even understood depression and anxiety. The other scripts totally shifted my personality. To the point I could even get off a grocery store. That was not me. And I wasn’t going to accept that version of me. Listen to your body and believe what it’s telling you. Wellbutrin saved me too!

    Thanks for your vids on Wellbutrin! Hope you're still doing well. I'm only a week in on SR, my doc put me on it in addition to my Lexapro. Lexapro was great for my anxiety but worsened my depression, and apparently the Lex/Wellbutrin combo works for a lot of people so here I am. It's worsened my anxiety some days which sucks but I'm gonna keep riding it out hoping that part gets better as I get used to it, because I'm really liking the extra energy and motivation I get from it. I think I'm gonna stick with SR and not try XL because the heart stuff scares me, and also kinda like that with SR it's easy to dose smaller increments / spread throughout the day.

      Hey Brother!! So happy to hear from you! Great that you're takin care of yourself and seeing what helps you the most. It's totally a journey, I get it. I was on 4 others before Wellbutrin. Yeah SR is good. I had no issues with it. Hopefully this will provide you the stability to work on whatever is making you feel less than optimal. That's probably the best thing it gave me. More stability to work on underlying issues causing my sh*tty mood. Big hug 🐻‍❄

The only thing is (n I don't know if it has to do with this med or not) I wake up very nauseous every morning til I take my med. I also take celexa with it. Has anyone experienced the nausea in the a m til u take the med? It might not be related at all but I am curious about there pple's experiences
