- I decided not to participate to the 2024 Ride London, so to compensate for missing that 100 miles event I decided to attempt again the HOTA - Hell of the Ashdown route. This was going to be a longer and hillier ride!

I was out on my 12 ? year old specialized tarmac today the weather was perfect for it, it my oldest bike but I look on it as my Sunday best , no disc brakes just good old rim brakes and a lot lighter for them, the bike feel so much faster than my newer bikes , I wonder why lol.

The Ride 100 wasn't as bad as I thought it would be, weather could have been better but i'm glad I didn't chicken out 😜

To day i had a little harder, 170 km, time 8:28:21 and 4.437m of elevation climb. 😁
Hello, do you have any tips for changing gears while standing up on the pedals ? Very nice ride, impressive distance and elevation and 26 km/h , waou !
Not sure, not the best moment to change gears under that pressure. Maybe you can try to put more weight on the handles and release some from the pedals to allow the gear change

Great ride buddy well done.. I did the Ride100 last year to 😊 could ask which wheels your running and do you find the pads noisy when braking ? Cheers Pete 🚴🏻👍💪
Thank you! The wheels are from Winspace, Lun Hyper 23 SE R45. They have a great braking track, with grooves for better wet performance. I love them! I'm using their pads, before I had the Prime carbon ones. There is some whine only on the hardest braking
