My brother in law put a carbon fiber hood on a fox that he had just built. This was early on before it was common knowledge that you needed pins up front. He got going about 50 the first time he left his neighborhood and the hood slammed backwards and destroyed the roof and windshield. Lucky he’s a body and paint guy but he was heartbroken. So much so he won’t rock a carbon hood anymore on anything. lol. It’s the same brother in law you referenced in the video about my car. He’s been street racing mustangs since he was a kid.
It’s really nice. Low humidity and 40-50 during the day in the winter maybe snow a couple days a year that melts immediately and pretty hot in the summer over 100 sometimes
Hey Justin, I've got a question. I bought a new set of Ford Performance EV6-type 24 lb fuel injectors for my 98 cobra. Do these injectors require a custom tune even though they're the factory size?
That’s a good question. I wouldn’t think so. Was the 98 cobra EV1? I know the GT is and I have EV6 60 pound in my bullitt with adapters but it was tuned with them.
@justin.c_svt The 98s had the EV1s I'm pretty sure. Either way my car doesn't run like it should even though I have the new injectors installed, so I'm guessing they do require some tuning.
Yal ok Justin I was wondering when I was gona here somebody do as I do With opening the hood when ever you stop the car an let the engine compartment cool an yes I've been doing this for the past 25 years to my cars an my 01 cobra convertable mineral gray color an a great color bar none an yes when I get home from some where before I even put the car up I leave the hood up intel the engine is cooled off an sometimes it like an hour before I put it up an all the rubber an plastic an metal parts still look like new yal I even open the good when I'm in shopping in a store an yal always find shade to when I do this an also had a new hood cable installed a few years ago yal the hard plastic top that's bolted up under dash was broke it was cracked years ago from the previous owner so I know it'll still open the hood for a long time still yal the open hood idea is good idea the whole car benefits too.
