15:15 I have this same hot rod magazine. I remember when I read it for the first time. I was shocked how well the STI performed - this was like the pinnacle of import vs domestic rivalry era.

Very cool show, Love seeing the 67/68 Fastback Mustangs. But what I took away from this video more than anything else, was you spending quality time with your Son. Best times I ever had with my Dad , was going for morning cruises and just talking cars and life.
Spending time with the family has a very special and deep element in my mustangs enjoyment although i don’t include them in the social world of my videos. They grow up with dad and his mustangs and I’m sure they will always remember it.
Does your Zinc Yellow GT have Mach1 Heritage wheels on the drivers side, and Bullitt Wheels on the passenger side?
Yes! Good eye. I had a tire splitting on one of the bullitt wheels and so I put 2 Mach 1 wheels on one side so it didn’t look goofy with mis-matched wheels (on on side at least) I was wondering if anyone would notice since you can only see 1 side at a time. In person only 1 of my friends has noticed it because he saw the car in a parking lot and thought it wasn’t mine because it had Mach 1 wheels on it lol

I appreciate the older stuff no matter what the make and model is. Much of the modern stuff from every manufacture is all plastic under the hood and lacks character. Four more months for car show season here
I love the older stuff, but like my elderly friend who has the vert terminator and the GT350 says, for the same price as a classic carbureted rather slow tank, you can get a newer GT350 with the brakes and everything great about it, it would be better to take the newer car. He said he won’t buy an older car again
@ That’s what’s nice about the new edge era, not completely outdated, can be enhanced to be more modern and under doesn’t look like a fisher price toy under the hood.

We called my friends Comp orange car the Screaming Pumpkin. While not a Cobra, I am getting ready to rebuild my R33 GT-R's rear IRS myself (front suspension also for a full rebuild). I am sure I will come up with some new profane words. My 01 Cobra IRS has already been upgraded, from what I was told, to poly. If It hasn't then I plan to do FTBR delrin bushings.

I think you are the only TH-camr to put into words and video what we all went through as terminator fans and or owners. I remember the feelings and emotions I felt wanting and longing for a cobra as a kid and teenager. Watching the same 03-04 compilation on TH-cam hundreds of times, showing friends, dreaming of owning one. There’s million dollar cars out there, but I’ll be honest the 03-04 cobra is the only car I think I’d ever choose over anything else out there.

I love comp orange, very nice they had it again. I also now notice a tundra and sequoia in the background of one of the pics lol. I can see when people would trade their comp orange cobra for a “new” coyote, and the terminator is timeless and more historical
Didn't know some of the newer Mustangs came in the CO color, so that's pretty cool to learn about. Also, I will have to check my axle nuts when I get a chance especially since I currently have two Terminators. Good advice.
I checked my axle nut when I put the borla stingers on while I had it in the air on the quick jacks. Not sure when or if it had ever been checked before but it was tight and did not move when my tq wrench was set to the required 240ftlbs. Sure is tough to get it to click lol
Yeah, I usually just go tight on it once in a while and if I can’t do anything to tighten it, then I know it’s good

Hey Justin, I'm in the middle of watching your series on finding and working on your Comp Orange Cobra and I love watching it! I had a 2004 Mystichrome coupe I bought in 2007 with 15k miles. Unfortunately I had to sell it to keep a roof over my head. Thanks to your videos I started casually looking for another Terminator. I'm surprised you found as many Comp Orange cars for sale as you did when you were looking for yours. Do you have recommendations on where to look to find used Terminators? I looked on SVT Performance but there weren't many for sale. I looked on Facebook Marketplace, there were quite a few for sale there but prices were all over the board.
That’s cool you had a Mystichrome. Wow such a low mile one too. I’m glad you are enjoying the series. I’m happy to hear when people who love these cars enjoy the content with me. If you don’t see many options on SVT performance or Facebook Cobra pages like the 03/04 cobra for sale page. Then you can consider finding pictures on Instagram of people who own cobras and offer to buy them. I know a couple people who have done that and gotten really nice cars. Other than that, it just might take some patience until one turns up.
The Comp Orange is so good looking! It just pops! Ive never have seen a Comp Orange Cobra in person but i have seen a Comp Orange Mach and it was sweet. Love your collection! My favorite's are the Azure Blue and Zinc Yellow Mach's and the Comp Orange Cobra! Just awesome cars!

Thats really cool Justin, I have done some more upgrades to the Mach. I put JBA shorty headers on her and the 49 state [ 2 cat ] Magnaflow xpipe. I sold the 4 cat California legal xpipe. I'm moving to AZ next month. So I don't need that 4 cat xpipe anymore! I also put the Cobra posi clutch pack in the 8.8.

I was ordering my 05 GT in November of 04 ,there was a white Mach 1 still for sale on back lot of dealership . It was a beauty but I had my heart set on the new model. Value wise ,it may have been better to have chosen the Mach 1 . I still have my 05 with 70,000 miles now. Great video.

@@justin.c_svt I'm contemplating on it staying as is (stripe), and doing a 2 tone with parchment and another chocolate brown/tan color. The center seat inserts should be able to be replicated I'm assuming, 🤞🏽... Exterior of the car is ebony...

I just purchased a 2001 convertible GT. I noticed it has new headlights but the passenger side has water buildup inside. Should I get a new set? Not sure what to do.
That’s very common with aftermarket lights. I’d only worry about out the moisture getting to the bulb and corroding the connector wires. You may be able to take them apart and reseal them or get new ones and seal them better. On the backside of the headlight housing there is usually a rubber seal that you wanna make sure is not compromised or moisture gets in there.
Still the best sounding car on TH-cam!
To me the Mach 1 sounds horrible. But as long as you like it. That's all it matters

Are you considering selling those coilovers you removed? I've been looking on/off for awhile.
I planned on just keeping them since I don’t have the fronts to go with them because they are still on my car. I figured I’d just hold on to them in case I ever wanted to switch back and my friend was kind enough to let me keep them since I originally planned on trading him for the springs
@@justin.c_svt I put an IRS in my Bullitt, stock springs and 20+ year old shocks/struts all around. Been on the fence about coilovers or not. What's your opinion? Don't want to do coilovers unless they are at least MM variants. At the same time a good spring/shock combo is probably good enough.
@btverse I’ve never been into suspension. All I’ve cared about is if the car looks good lowered. I don’t really see much difference in the IRS in my cars compared to the sold axle ones.
You know what's really rare on these Mustangs from 94 to 2004 is the back trunk net I didn't know that these Mustangs came with a basketball net inside the trunk that part is really rare to find when I put the part number nothing comes out there's actually a guy that sells these nuts but I don't think they're original I actually bought one of these nuts for my Mustang so when it arrives on going to see if it's an original part I highly doubt it another thing that I didn't know that they sold car covers for these Mustangs and once again when I put the part number to find the cover for these Mustangs nothing comes out and I didn't know that you could add a keyless entry on these Mustangs first time seeing this and when it comes to Mustangs Corvettes Camaros Firebirds Toyota Supras in gt-rs and mostly know a lot about these cars now I know that that was an option for these cars
I have one of the nets but I can’t remember which one of my cars it came in. I think it was my 02 GT. I kept it for my blue mach 1 but the inside safety trunk release keeps getting caught in jt

I know Ford did so vinyl stickers for these Mustangs they're actually really hard to find now is like Chevy they sold vinyl stickers for Corvettes vinyl stickers that went on the fenders the stickers are hard to come by two yes there's aftermarket companies and make them but the original product does not exist no more it's discontinued
I want to know is a 1000 Mach audio system a package when this course came out
It was available from 2002-2004 but not an option for the Mach 1 or cobra

When I saw that you found 6 STH on the title, I was like no way, you got into the hobby too!? I've only found 2 supers in my hunting journey of like 1 year and a half. Where I live, it's hard to find them, a lot of the people get to them early in the morning or probably have employees helping them... But yeah it's a great feeling to find it when you do.
It’s very hard to find them here too. I talked to a guy who I actually knew in high school who told me he does it for a living so he’s way into getting them at the right time and probably has connections. I just knew that Christmas time is a time where they are putting out much more than normal so there’s a better chance and I was able to show up when they were setting up a display. I found 2 more supers and 4 more normal treasure hunts as well. I have a whole box of supers that I’ve collected here and there over the last 15 years or so just finding them here and there but I seldom find any
I’m thinking about installing cams in my 2001 cobra Mustang. What cams should I install that has a good chopping sound at idle but also is efficient to be able to drive daily if I choose to. Also, are there any negatives to installing cams in a four valve or is it best to leave it factory. I understand there’s not a lot of horsepower gains from installing cams but these four valve engines really sound good with aftermarket cams. I prefer stock cams on the 4V. I feel they don’t need it as much as a 2V does but we all know people do it for the chop. One of the reasons I don’t want to cam my 4V is because I like the sound of the 4V burble and another reason is I don’t want to open up a “hand build SVT engine”. I also only have experience with 2V cams so I can’t really recommend anything except what I hear.
@ thanks for the reply. The only reason I’m considering doing it is because I have to do preventative maintenance, which is the timing guides and chains oil pump and water pump in my car. I just turned 102,000 miles on my cobra and want to keep it healthy. My car sounds great except for a idol. I feel that it could be a little more choppy… I see the comp 106400 cam works well in these but with that said now you got me thinking maybe I should just leave it the way it is.
20+ year old cobra and still making Corvette owners second guess their purchase in 2025 LOL! All in jest of course, the C8 is a beautiful car in its own ways.

What coolant do you run for the supercharger and the engine and how much do I need for both?
Some would say run motorcraft gold. I use normal prestone all makes and models. Not sure the exact amount. I just fill it until it’s full and burp the system. The supercharger intercooler system doesn’t take much. I just fill it enough that it’s towards the top of my aftermarket tank that doesn’t have a fill line but leave some space up top for it to expand when it gets hot. You don’t want it too low or it will make lots of air bubbles as it mixes into the reservoir
I bought a 2004 azure blue Mach 1 right off the lot brand new. I loved it.... but then..... the s197 05 mustang came out and I traded it for an 05 GT... I loved them both.
That’s really cool. I love them both and I’ve driven both of them. I have an azure blue Mach 1 and love it very much. I remember when the S197 Mustangs came out and people were trading their new edge cars in for them and I wouldn’t have done that but I can understand why they wanted to.
@justin.c_svt I was totally stoked about the 05. the styling was genius. I was also dating a girl with a 2004 competition orange Mach 1 at the time. so there's that... all of them are long gone now... lol
