That sensor on the upright of the meal bin looks like a strain gauge. Basically it measures the very slight compression in the metal from the extra load from the meal. Same technology as used on most cattle weighing scales.
Big mistake not having ACRs Would make milking much much quicker. I would get them in. Up cow number's to maximise every aspect of profit. You see no ACRs in Dorset and Wiltshire in this type of Parlour. I milked a bit at Jon S Shaftesbury with no ACRs His herds lady Kate H and l were more efficient with two of us milking. Fore milking for early detection of Mastitis and Cow flow. She is probably one of the Best Herdsmangers in the Country. Heat detection 92 % Cell count 80 Lowest in Wiltshire X2 years running. This was when she worked with me.
Good morning, I understand that investment choices have always been made for economic reasons. That's very smart. I would like to have the plans of the building as a whole, especially the part concerning the milking parlour, milk tank, office,.... Cordially.
My experience of Jerseys is poor yields poor cull price .No one wants the Bull calves. They are hardy. Black feet less foot problems. I found N .reds and Ayrshire best good udders. Nice size. Go to any sale of cows they like the Red and whites .Stay well away from Holstein. Poor Fertility don't graze well. Friesian would be good on the grazing systems.
Great job and nice and simple the only thing I would have added are cluster removers , I love them and wouldn’t be without them

Nothing wrong with a basic dairy that has minimal to go wrong. With electricity prices continually increasing this is what one will need

Is your parlor a 24 or 48
It’s a 24/48, so 24 cows either side with 24 units that swing from side to side
