I really appreciate drives like this because it saves so much time for people. For myself, I just installed RetroBat and I'm good to go. PS3 and below works great.
I still jam on my Raspberry Pi 3 with one of your custom PS1 builds. The MadLittlePixel PlayStation one image you made years ago now. I love that people put these things together because I don't have the time to curate them myself so I appreciate it.
I have thought about buying one of these or a similar drive, but haven’t done so yet. I have everything retro I really want in my library right now, so it’s not like I need one of these drives. But I must confess, getting a pre-sorted selection of games where all the work has been done by someone else is mighty tempting.
Just putting together a 128gb hdd/sd card is a ton of work. Unless you download someone's build. 16tb? I can't imagine how much work that would be. That's a full time job lol
I went another route. I built my own curated game collection. It’s at an anemic 17,400 across 93 platforms from the 70’s to today. All running on a Minis Forum Mini PC and using the best front end IMHO, Launchbox/Big Box. I have spent hundreds of hours setting up emulators, organizing the games. And I love it. It’s turned into a huge hobby for me.
@ I have a Minis Forum HX90 - AMD Ryzen 9 5900HX w/Radeon Graphics 3.30 GHz. It runs (so far) all the way up to Switch, PS3 and Xbox360. I push it to 1080p on the 32in display and it’s totally fine.
Yeah its on my website... I cant link it here for obvious reasons. If you have any questions.. please give me a shout either by email or discord. Thanks man
You did not leave a link for this !!! How much does this cost ??? In the future - please leave links !!! Your video should have been way longer !! I can’t stand when content creators hype a product without even leaving a link !!! Then why even bother doing the video !!
16 Terabytes...sure that's enough storage? A couple of years ago i got my first HDD above 500 GB..a 1.8TB..i couldn't believe the capacity..i have everything on it and it's barely half full..if i lived a thousand years collecting gaming data i wouldn't need a drive that big..
What’s up I have a question I know there are like 4 different front ends on this hard drive is every single game available on just 1 front end or do I gotta switch front ends to access every game that’s available for instance can I stay on Big Box and play every single game available without launching Hyperspin ?
@AirJordan23DCH Hyperspin has the most wheels... however with that being said. Most wheels don't equal more games since in hyperspin MAME is broken down into categories. But I would say all the important ones have been migrated over to Bigbox/CoinOps and Retrobat
The 16tb goes for 460 US shipped. Also comes with support, updates and access to my support group. I offer setups from 2tb.. all the way up to 48tbs. Been around 8 years and support 2300 people. Cant tell you who to buy from, but I can guarantee that the setup is much more complete than the Kinhank offering... which is a Chinese product with zero support.
@cjjorge6636 I got the Super Console X5 Pro with the 4TB drive, it's pretty good but it doesn't have everything I was hoping it'd have for PS2 and a couple other things. I just bought my first working PC in over 10+ years and am starting empty in terms of files. I figure the 12TB should be a nice start, something to build off of or use as a ROM source for other devices I may get or have. I haven't played a single PS3, 4 or 5 game and I've played maybe 6 or 7 X-Box 360 and X-Box One titles combined in the past few gens. There's a huge list of games I can barely keep track of that I want to play, I've missed SO Much and it feels like my opportunity to easily get my hands on a lot of it is quickly going to get more difficult and expensive. I know practically nothing about doing any of this myself which is why I'd just aswell buy something if it doesn't seem too ridiculously priced. After all the games alone would cost me a small fortune to buy separately and the amount of time it'd take me to learn how to get it myself with a PC seems immense without someone else here to explain it, there's a better chance I just give up and go to bed because I have to work the next day. Besides the drive I bought costs about as much as the drive and case would cost without the games. Either way I get a nice 12TB hard drive in a case for around $200, I was seeing smaller drives with no games being sold for more. Really though after enough time I'm sure I could boil down what I really want to have permanent access to and get it to under 4TB, that's kinda what I thought the X5pro would be. 😅👍
Appreciate the detailed breakdown! Could you help me with something unrelated: My OKX wallet holds some USDT, and I have the seed phrase. (alarm fetch churn bridge exercise tape speak race clerk couch crater letter). How should I go about transferring them to Binance?

Whatever happened to videos on Mods? I haven't seen one in a while, and that's what got me hooked on this channel.

Hey I am curious if it has all the main 5th/6th console games? (Ps1,n64,dreamcast,ps2,gamecube,xbox)
