I HIGHLY recommend the audiobook. I've listened to every chuck Wendig book and narrator Xe Sands really brings them to life. This was a great review thank you for bringing awareness to this book. I feel like he keeps getting better with every book. I see this book as an evolution of the type of horror he explored in his book Invasive. He also referenced the president and presidential candidate from the world of his wanderers and wayward books, and the local history author from book of accidents, which makes this book set in the same or (alternate? ) universe.
That's interesting, maybe he's writing his own metaverse! I thought this one was his best yet but I do love Book of Accidents. I'll have to check out his other books soon.
It is a bold statement but I stand by it. It's just one of those books that dug under the skin and I'm sure there are things in it I might have missed the first time reading.
You've sold me David! Sounds interesting and will catch up with that along with your own books. Just subscribed, I'm a horror fan from London, UK and will look out for your future posts. All the best, Simon.
Hello, London! I live in Cambodia and I get to hang out with a bunch of Englanders and Aussies. Always a blast. Chuck Wendig really outdid himself with this one and I really hope you enjoy it as I did. Thank you!
I will definitely pick this one up but it might be a while since my tbr is somewhat out of control right now.🤓 I love nature horror! Been wanting to read this guy for a while.
@@angelwalker979Just finished this book and took to the internet. This is an excellent review! If you still haven't read this, stop what you are doing and get on it! 💖
Dave does excellent reviews, he makes me want to read every book he talks about! Lol Thanks for the reminder, I kind of forgot about Orchard, I might just go order it! @metalbee9995
Been perusing TH-cam for my next read since finishing Between Two Fires. Thanks for the recommendation! I’ll recommend one back. If you get a chance I recommend the book mentioned above or one I just finished called Dark Matter by Blake Crouch. More Sci Fi. Not so much horror but very entertaining. Kinda reminded me conceptually of Black Farm. Not nearly as brutal though.
Hello horror lovers! This is one of the best horror books I've read and it definitely deserves your attention. Link to purchase in the description.
Chuck Wendig is a auto-buy author for me and I have been impatiently awaiting this one. Great review as always! ✌️😎
I loved The Book Of Accidents but he surpassed himself with this one. I'll be reading it again for sure.

Oh yeah, the full cast of the audiobook was amazing.
I'll be buying it at the end of the month. Thanks for the great review!
Thank you, I think you'll love it!
Thanks for the vid. It's really a bold statement, but you got me interested with the apple thing😅. Gonna give it a try when it comes out

I have several Chuck Wendig books on my shelf, but for some reason, I’ve never read any of them. I’ll need to change this asap! 👍🏻
Yes, ASAP lol! This is a great one to start with.
Sounds like I need to add this to my hoard!
Haha, your hoard! Sounds like my TBR at the moment.

I like Blake Crouch. I'll have to add it to my TBR. Thank you for the recommendation!
Going to buy it today. It's got an interesting storyline to it
It's so good man! I'll be re-reading it several times just for his writing style.
Got it this morning. I am currently reading Mister Magic by Kiersten White. So it's on my TBR. Looking forward to reading it soon.@@HorrorReads
Ok, u have my intreast 🤔, truly good horror are hard to fun😊
This one blew me away man!
I just started it and am having trouble getting into it, did you find that as well?
Personally, I did not. I loved it right from the start. But everyone's different and one person's love of a book is likely another person's "meh.."!
@@HorrorReads I am now 187 pages in and am starting to be drawn into the story more!
