Thinking about the countries not just as characters in a show but for what they stand for....The line "why would I want to destroy something I helped build" especially when you think about countries going to war with each other...The whole video gives the image of all these nations that don't want to fight but despite that they end up shedding blood, and wondering how it got to that point and trying (and failing) to not have that happen again.

They've seen their people killed, and their allies injured, and they've worried for the existence of those like Prussia. It's heartbreaking to think how many times they've cried. But it makes the cute fics and fanart much sweeter in contrast. They have their peaceful moments, too. Hetallia is genius for its CHARACTERS.

Humans are built to fight for what we want or need. These days, we mostly fight with words, oil and money, but sometimes people can't be told. Sometimes something is so important, it's worth putting our lives on the line for. Sometimes it's greed, sometimes it's nobility that does it, but humans, by their nature, need to fight to settle it. 'Games' just don't settle it the same way.
It's mostly the chorus that kills me. Every country use to get along and there were no wars but greed for land and money seemed to cloud a lot of persons eyes and bloodshed started. It tears me apart to know that with how each country is today, we may not be able to get along like we once did. Even if we did, it would still be different.
