    Great video thank you! Helped me loads on the wet Project Cars 2 career races. You mentioned you might do a video on using Jussi's suspension calculator. That would be fantastic if you have the time, thanks.

    Hi Yorkie 065, one question. Settings of TC, and ABS in ECU determine when they kick in, whereas settings of TC and ABS in OPTON-Drive Assist determine how strong their involvement in controlling the car after they kick in. Am I right to say that?

    • @Yorkie065
      @Yorkie065  5 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      You are absolutely spot on with that.

      Yorkie065 I had been confused by that for long time. Thanks very much!

    Great video yet again. Is there anywhere that you have a downloadable database of your tunes? Sure you had one somewhere in pCars 1.

      Unfortunately not. There was a website for it for PC1, but I've not yet found one for PC2. May have to think of another way to get them uploaded and out to people.

    HELLO
    in the setup the numbers like brake balance 50/50 is the first number reflect the rear or the front? on stuff like spring rate and roll bar . left is less and right is more?
    thanks you these videos really helpful
    thanks

    • @Yorkie065
      @Yorkie065  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      So with Brake Balance, the first number is the front and the second is the rear. With Spring Rates and Roll Bar, going to the left decreasing the value makes them softer, and going right, increasing the number increases stiffness.
      I do have various episodes on all the various aspects of the car setup in this series too :)

      thank you for the reply. lol. i was doing just the opposite . with everything like the brake balance. ill bet things get better now

    Thanks Yorkie, some good tips. Wonder if you can make SMS aware that on some cars you are unable to scroll down on the diff settings to make any adjustments, can't remember off hand the cars affected, one I think is the v8 supercar. ( this is on PS4 by the way )

    I’m struggling to get a good setup in the 911 GT3R at Snetterton. The dry weather setup is damn near perfect but as the conditions change to rain (at night), I can’t get a good setup that stops the car becoming both an understeering mess and very snappy even in a straight line...so frustrating

    Hey man, thank you. I have a question tho, i am in career, nurburgring gp, lambo super trofeo, rain at the start of the race and at 10 minutes mark it changes to dry, the ai is not pitting, but with the old tyres they produce lap times like they are on slicks. Is there a possibility that they run on hard slick at the start of the race even if it rains?

    • @Yorkie065
      @Yorkie065  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      There is a possibility they are yes, depends how much rain is falling. But they could also be on the wet and continuing to run that, as there is a bit of time after the rain stops falling before you'd need to switch tyres

    What's the difference between Traction Control in the setups (0%-100%) and setting the Traction Control on the fly, in-car (LOW-HIGH-OFF)?

    • @Yorkie065
      @Yorkie065  6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      It's explained in Episode 1, and Episode 17. The assist is basically the strength, the setting in the setups is when the assist kicks in.

    You mentioned the different target temps for steel and carbon brakes. Does the game tell you which type is in use on the car?

    • @IRObot2113
      @IRObot2113 6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I don't think it does. You need to watch your Telemetry when heavy braking and watch the color of the brake icon. Go out on track with the default setup and do some very heavy braking from high speed on a straight. If the brake temps hit around 600c/1200f, you're on steel brakes. If the temps go higher than that, you're probably on carbon brakes.

    • @Yorkie065
      @Yorkie065  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Pretty much what IRObot2113 said. That is the best way to distinguish whether the car is running steel or carbon brakes.

    Good video yet again Yorkie thanks.
    any tips on how to deal with the large puddles that gather?, if its not possible to avoid i tend to lift of the throttle and let the car roll through it with limited lose of traction.
    is there any Technics to take on board actually driving on top of any set up preparations as i do enjoy racing in mixed weather conditions a lot this sim do's it so beautifully.
    thanks for any advice.

      In a way yeah lol. Take a look at episode 47 to get a real good idea for tuning ride heights and why it is so important.
