Fabric Haul from Rainbow Fabrics and Stoff & Stil!

- I went on a recent fabric shopping spree and thought I’d share the goodies with you! I got orders from two shops - Rainbow Fabrics and Stoff & Stil (which are linked to below) and I’m talking through what I’ve bought, describing the fabrics and what I’ve (potentially) planned for them!

Stoff & Stil is a German company. They have a huge range of good quality fabrics for a reasonable price. I often have been in their shop in Cologne, when I still lived there. It is huge and a bit overwhelming and organized like a Supermarket with big shopping carts. :) I am happy you found your 'lost fabric' !
I absolutely loved that Mira dress and recognised the fabric immediately! I didn't realise that it was one of the things that were stolen. Sometimes people suck. I'm so happy for you to be bringing it back into your life!! ❤️

I am so pleased you found the fabric and will be able to replicate the dress that was stolen x I'd make or buy a slip to wear under the sheerer fabrics so the main fabrics can retain their floatiness.For your replica fabric in the oranges I'd make a pair of wide legged trousers or a dress from the liberty patterns.

I love your vlogs. Such a pleasure to watch. Do you think you could hold up patterns, or insert pictures when you have something in mind to make? I have no idea what the Shelby is! It would be really helpful.
I loved seeing your fabric! I think that there is a better selection and variety of fabric in the UK and EU than in North America.
I also managed to swerve excess costs from Stof and Stil. I did notice that it came from Denmark this time as opposed to Germany so maybe that had something to do with it.
If you used the velvet to make a jacket you’d get wear out of it now. I’m just about to start making the Ayora jacket by Pauline Alice which would like nice in velvet or the grainline tamarack. Good to hear about stoff and stil. I’m wary now because of customs charges.
Thanks! I think it’s going to be hard going with customs charges unfortunately. I think I was lucky this time but I wouldn’t assume I’d be this lucky every time! 😬
