Today I’m sharing some of my favourite makes of the past 6 months! (I figured this is better than combing through every single make I hadn’t already talked about which might’ve taken days!). EDIT: I mention the amazing designer Cecilie Bahnsen and said she’s Swedish but she’s actually based in Copenhagen, Denmark! Sorry! Apologies for putting out a knitting vlog on a sewing channel but I’ve somehow managed to knit enough in the past 6 months or so to warrant a solo knitting vlog! I love this post. I am now to get a book and i subscribed
👗👏🏻
I have just discovered your channel and it looks like you've stopped making them! If you come back, will be excited to watch more x
how can I take the puff out of my puff sleeve dress please
Wow, beautiful. 👌💕
👌💕
Hi Emily, just checking through your videos again. Hope all is good with you, a miss your regular videos.
Tops look great but there’s something amiss with the skirt and the skirt of the striped dress.
Hi Emily, hope all is good with you. I’ve been missing you here on TH-cam. You have a motorbike, how exciting. 💕
You are so talented! The hat looks so cute on you.
I just recently found you and subscribed! I hope you come back soon. Right now I’m binge watching all your videos and going from TH-cam to your Instagram page! I love everything! I hope you’re ok! Take care🪡🧶🧵
I like your choices.
Absolutely gorgeous all 3 dresses! You’re so talented. You’re a true designer! 🧵🪡🧶
I hope you show us the bridesmaids dresses!
I love all the outfits. Especially the last dress!
You look great in all the outfits!!
What beautiful makes! It was lovely to see them all :)
The hairband looks really good. I wish though, that i could have seen the full length of the magnolia dress as it's very nice.
Wow! I love your dresses! That boiler suit looks soooooooo amazing. All of your makes look great.
Love everything you made. It would be awesome if you pulled your hair back so the front of the garment would be easier to see. Thanks for sharing.
This is exactly what I've been looking for. I don't like the way most sleeves on sheered dresses don't seem to cover a bra strap very well. Your hack is brilliant, thank you so much for sharing this. 😃
I think your Fibre Mood Lola top looks super cute on you! Hope you kept it or passed it on to someone who would love it, the fabric is spot on - perfect for that style.
Great video - thanks.
Actually, out of all the tops, I think the Orchidée blouse is the most flattering on you. I know it's probably not your style, but I think it suits your shape very well:)
Absolutely loved all the knits, the slipcover is so so gorgeous! I’m a newbie knitter and tempted to buy as a future knit and it’s on 20% off! Thank you JJ
I LOVE your Park Lane dress!!! OMG 😍😎😵
Red is your color! love the red dress
I love the BHL Sarah! I have made 2 dresses that I just adore and I just make a shirt sleeve shirt. The pattern deserves more love, I can’t wait to see yours finished.
Gosh that pile of viscose prints is making me jealous! Thanks for this video, especially your lovely calm voice.
I think a slinky or A-line skirt would be beautiful in that print!
I’m just making the bob trousers at the moment and I like the balloon leg, so I’m really interested in jeans with that shaped leg!
Wonderful fabrics there Emily 👌💝 and some lovely ideas to make them up in 👍. I can't remember if you've ever made the Florence Blouse by Merchant and Mills...that would look lovely on you and would suit any of the gorgeous viscose fabrics you showed 🙏. Really looking forward to seeing how you get on with the jeans too 😁💙😘
Good to see you again xx
Your fabrics are just amazing the last fabric reminds me of ALICE AND WONDERLAND. Happy sewing my dear :) :):)
Interesting to hear about you Ginger v Dawn jeans comparison. I’ve been deliberating over the same two patterns for some time now. Ginger jeans seem to be the way to go - sounds as though we’re of a similar shape and we both like to move comfortably in our makes. Love your viscose and I completely get why you love that fabric so much - it’s so nice to wear. Happy sewing 🧵😊🧵
Very pretty makes. Thanks for sharing.
Hi Emily!! Love everything you’ve made.. 💜💜💜🧵🧵🧵
Thank you! ☺️
Thanks for the Park Lane hack ideas. I’ve been planning to make some Rixo rip-offs and was unsure about which pattern to use but that one seems a good base. If you’re planning to make that again and want future video ideas it would be great to see exactly how to do the collar, keyhole facing and sleeve cuffs etc. All of your creations are amazing, well done!x
Oh the park lane is sooooo good as a base for those styles of dress! I think it ended up being one of my most used patterns last year! Thanks for the ideas - I really need to try doing sew along/ step by step videos with some of these hacks! ☺️
Sold! :)
Hi Emily, I love everything and in particular your gingham party dress 😍...so pretty 💞. I'm always impressed with your alterations and making the pattern work for you 👌. I'm five three and have to alter patterns most times and I guess that's the great thing about being able to make your own clothes 👍. Always gain loads of inspiration from you and I love the look of the free skirt pattern with the frill at the bottom... definitely one I'm I'm going to give a go in a pretty viscose and a bonus that it's free...thanks so much for sharing your gorgeous makes 🙏💟😁😘
Thanks for your kind words Sally! 🥰☺️
Loved all your makes.I wouldn't alter your pink birthday dress as it's perfect as it is.Really interesting to see the Anthea blouse made in two different fabrics.Your coat is amazing and I'd, definitely,go back and stitch your gems on more securely as they make the fabric.I love your vlogs as they are always so interesting.
Thank you so much! ☺️
For someone who didn't do a lot of sewing you made a lot of garments. It was hard to pick out a favorite. They were all so beautiful! Your self drafted dresses were amazing. That coat is awesome. I loved them all. Looking forward to your next " not so much sewing video" LOL
Hahahaha!!! Me not seeing much is still waaaaay more than average! 😂🙈
Fabulous video and makes! I can relate to putting sewing on the back burner and seriously catching the knitting bug recently, so I love hearing about your knitting journey. Btw, you’re a lot more advanced than me, but I’d recommend checking out “And Sew On - how I knit faster with combination knitting” on TH-cam if you are interested in purling quicker and easier in continental knitting. Always looking forward to your next creations and thx for sharing!
Just found your channel... am looking forward to checking out your sewing as well... I love crafting everything so don't mind at all when there is more than one thing to see on one channel. Your knitting looks great! And just like sewing, once you have a pattern you can remake it in many different colours and looks.
Thank you! ☺️
Why do people want to knit faster, ? Knitting is a hobby, it’s relaxing, it’s not a race so what does it matter what speed you knit at ? I knit English style and at a pretty good speed, I love English style and knitting at a comfortable relaxing pace. X
The speed thing is just me being incredibly impatient and nothing else! (I’m renown in my family for being the most impatient one! 😂). Both methods work well for me so it’s nice to have the option between them! X
Love knitting so much and I also love sewing so it’s great to see both, thankyou knitting is relaxing for me in the evenings watching tv. Xx you have done amazingly well, everything you knit is gorgeous well done 👍 x
Thank you! ☺️
Hi Emily!! Your knitting is looking beautiful & fits you amazingly & love your hat (even if you can’t wear it)…. 💜💜💜🧵🧵🧵
Thank you so much! ☺️
Hi Emily!! Loving your hair.. So exciting to see you again.. Can’t wait to see your makes…. 💜💜💜🧵🧵🧵
I’m in the exact same boat as you at the moment. I’m so much more excited about knitting than sewing at the moment and I am in LOVE with the STJERNØYA slipcover you made. You look a million dollars in it 🥰 Have you got a ravelry account ?
Thank you! I’ve got one but I don’t really use my ravelry account for anything except downloading patterns. I never got into using it as a project planner/library like many other do!
Glad to have you back X
i'm not sure how you carried over the wool at the back of your tank top but the colours can be linked to the colour yarn in use so you don't have any loose threads. This is a much easier way to knit as it's also easier to keep your tension. There are lots of TH-cam advise.
I read about that being important especially if you have long “floats” on the back. Definitely something I need to look into!
