    I was fishing for bait fish with my 4lb test off dock so we could go out for catfish and caught a 6 lb 26 inch. Ch. cat . It was a nice unexpected surprise. Love watching your videos! Injured my back fishing in my boat and have been fishing through your videos . Finally headed back out in the am after a month to give it a shot. Appreciate all your videos ,inspiration and information!

    I grew up fishing on Old Hickory Lake. I never caught any drum, but lots of bass, catfish, & bluegills/sunfish.

    You can use more than 3 hooks in TN if it’s a sabiki rig. I love using 5 for skipjack

    Lots of fun and surprise catching big fish on light tackle. Have caught big catfish on Mepps spinners with pork rind trailers. Now making my own pork skin trailers these days since plastic is much cheaper than the labor needed to do salted pig skins sliced thin.

    I was fishing for bluegill with a red worm and got a 8 foot sturgeon on with a light bluegill rod 2 and a half hour battle and when I got it to shore I grabbed the fish and my dad grabbed the line and the line snapped and I had to make a choice ride the 8 foot fish into current or let it go
    I let it go if you were wondering.

    I caught a drum about that size trolling with a shad rap like seen you do. That technique has been alot of fun to do!

    Take a big floater and tie it on at the end of cast net line. Keeps from losing it for us.🤔

    I troll an original rapala when the fishing is tough... catch all species on it. I love the rig with the gulp minnows. How do you tie them...sorry if I melde missed that part.

      Those rapalas are great baits. They catch everything. My rig with the gulp and jigs is a simple setup. I just tie a basic clinch knot on the swivel and then take the tag end and do another clinch knot to the first jig. I repeat the process down to the final jig.

    Please let us know about what cast net you are going to buy. I've bought my 2020 cast net already but only catch shad with it in shallow water but would be interested to see what you use for deeper water if that is the case. Thanks for the videos

    Using one of my favorite eating fish to catch catfish while catching catfish on jigs. Too funny. Maybe it was the camera angle or something, but I can’t believe that graphite rod you had that first blue on didn’t snap. Anyhow, it sure looked like a lot of fun.

    my favorite flathead bait to use is 4to 6 inch bull heads with their fins clipped here in alabama unfortunatley here in alabama we can't use crappie as bait as i know from fishing in other states itis a good catfish bait.

    When I don't have a cast net or the shad are to far off the bank I throw a treble hook in to the school and snag them, it might take a few throws to get enough for bait that day but if they are decent size it usually don't take long to get enough.

    Do you ever go in the ocean? Im on the west coast and ive only been kayak fisbing in the ocean. Most all my fishing is ocean but the kayak was a scary experience with tides and such

    Are you allowed to use three hooks per line can they be treble. Can you snag the shad .I use that technique for winter shad.

      We can have trebles but I never snag them unless it’s by accident. A cast net is just more efficient if I am going after shad

    Just picked up some gulp minnows 2 1/2” and 1” minnows. I’m going to try and learn something new. Great video keep them coming.

      Gulp minnows work so well. You can catch about any species with them. My go to to catch bait for catfish
