I really liked the orange amber armor trim from the potato April Fools snapshot, so I'm glad they found a way to add it to the main game with the resin
Despite everything, I still like that Mojang is trying to make something unique. They could just make the creaking drop resin or something like that, but instead they decided to create a way more unique and fun way to get the new material
I like that the creaking doesn’t drop anything because having it break apart and disappear into nothing when it dies is much more scarier than it drop something.
@@lucasmatthiessen1570 yeah having it drop something makes the player infer that it is "final" for that mob. That it is fully dead and gone. The fact it drops nothing means the player can't infer if it has died or just disappeared from thin air with an animation.
I'd imagine this saves them the trouble in having to distinguish between normal death and night turning into day death. Although the creaking heart being mined/"killed" and dropping a little resin is similar to basic enemy drop
@Astrobotl84 I think one of the best uses for it would probably be an ender stasis chamber. It changes around nighttime, but it's not a specified time like a daylight sensor. This means that it could give you a bit of time to kill monsters and collect materials, or do a few more tasks before teleporting home! Basically redstone that has better connectivity options
I’ve noticed people complain about small updates lately, and would like to point out that ya’ll should take note of the fact that the people complaining are usually not mod developers. This is because the people who don’t complain are the ones who actually code stuff themselves and know how hard it is. Also, modern day Minecraft updates consistently add major changes in greater quantities than older updates. In older updates, we would be lucky to get more than a few blocks (non dyeable, considering that dyeable blocks are added in groups of 16) in an update (see the frostburn update or the horse update). Nowadays we have been getting multiple new blocks with multiple uses, as well as used for old blocks, every update. When you also factor in mobs (which take more effort) and biomes (which usually have multiple new features), it adds up.
The Resin Clump is quite a significant addition, as it could open the door for all kinds of new items. For example; resin is similar to a material used as a binder in the manufacture of phonograph records before vinyl existed, combine with deepslate or brick and maybe wool or string and we could have blank music discs. New materials such as varnish, adhesive, and plastic could come from this should the need arise. Linoleum could make for a fun decorated carpet. Perhaps a new redstone component. Maybe even film, though unless we're talking adding a movie camera, plates would be more likely. To go farther off track, why not have a camera in Minecraft? why not allow people to have screenshots in item frames? The plate can be made with gold [in place of silver] and a glass pane, a dyed starch item made by combining potatoes with red, blue, and green dye to add color, and maybe resin as a glue. As for the camera: copper ingots, trapdoor, button, redstone lamp, and a spyglass for the lens.
This update did a great job to the biome, now the creakling is much more of an actual threat and the biome has more life, possibly the only remaining problem with it now is that resin still lacks practical usage and is just another purely decorative item set from the biome, i know that it can be used to craft more creakling hearts, but the hearts already weren't enough of a reward for the biome in first place. As someone who've been thinking about amber as a feature to the game for a while, i admit that it's not easy to come up with practical features for it. Since amber often has prehistoric carcasses preserved within it, maybe it could be used to preserve exp with a brand new exp storage system crafted along echo shards? and maybe also a resin block that transports items like modded pipes. Also i find it really weird the way amber is obtained, i don't get why they would add an incentive for hitting the creakling, i think they should just drop from the heart when destroyed, and sometimes there could be blocks between the trees (based on another big tree from a certain creepy mod) and maybe even as ore veins under the biome, i know it's not amber, but both are still tree resin, right? Considering the update we got, i'm still hopeful we might get more uses for this new resource, we just have to keep giving proper criticism and suggestions for the game.
I am personally glad that the heart doesn't drop amber. The creaking seems to bleed amber and gets healed from the heart in turn, explaining why it shows up. Also, it has a use as a trim material, and I definitely see more ways it can be expanded upon in February's drop.
I feel like the resin is a little hard to look at with its current texture. I hope they change it to look a little softer on the eyes. Maybe adding a bit more contrast and lowering the saturation would help
it seems like they are trying to make the features for the builders side of the player base and as a builder this block is extremely ugly and over saturated i have no idea what you could use it for though the resin clump could look cool as like berries on leaves
I personally LOVE the look, but it it hurts people's eyes, then maybe it should be toned down a bit. I cam definitely see myself using it as a nice accent color.
Also, if anyone still doesn't think this is enough, remember that these new features can be expanded upon in the future, and most likely will if enough suggestions flow. As is, the biome is very cool, and a welcom addition.
Also, it's a minor update, it's gonna be like 1.21.4 or 5 People forget that :/ I'm very happy with the dro personally, but I wouldn't say no to a structure or more resin use later
I said they needed to add flowers to justify the name garden and they did! Though I still think it needs more. And they added resin! Now we need rubber in a future drop as well! Honestly with these faster drops I might prefer them to only reveal some features later for the surprise! I'm excited for this drop now!!!
Really elegant solutions to a lot of the complaints that were coming up with the new biome. I especially love the flower, it's something unique to the biome to incentivise going there, helps the creaking blend in with the environment, and will have you second guessing if it's a flower or mob since the flowers will swap between the two forms. I think the closed version completes every dye being obtainable from plants. Recent minecraft updates have really consistently left me feeling like they were playing things very safe with the brand, and only considering adding things that already fit mincecraft extremely well, which has worked and I've enjoyed a lot of the new stuff, but the new biome is the most interesting update in a while to me.
@@EmperorPenguin1217Yeah true but they are still doing a Great Job with Minecraft as a whole. Also since Minecraft has several spin-offs now not only is Minecraft a Video Game & a Brand, it is a Franchise!
The Resin in the WM might be a bit of lore(Illagers studying/creating life) Hopefully they go for some jokes and make a Cabin in the Woods, maybe with a bit of Resin decor?
Maybe a cool idea for resin is that it could act like honeycomb but for flammable blocks, in which it makes flammable blocks fireproof when applied to them Would make a neat feature to the resin while it's consumability matching it's farmability along with a reason to make the pale garden just straight up fireproof to solve the whole "burning down the forest" situation lmao
Some of ideas for resin clumps in builds, they look like oranges on leaves, dripping lava, fallen autumn leaves, orange petals, fresh copper ores, and group of eyes.
I'm so glad my newfound faith in Mojang and this update system was not misplaced! The Pale "Forest" had so much potential, and I would've been extremely disappointed if they left it as it was, but I didn't expect them to. Of all the ideas I thought up (including one that involved scraping resin off the creaking heart itself lol), none of them where this unique. I expected an armor trim not a new trim color set! There are still multiple things I'd love to see, but this is now good enough. I do wish the eye flower was 2 or maybe even 3 blocks tall though
Ah, yes. The Efficiency Apple. Takes enchanted golden apple to a whole new level. Efficient ingestion and digestion. Removes slowness and slow falling and replaces it with glorious speed. Now applies haste!
It’s nice, but the pale garden still doesn’t add anything except for decoration. Though, now that we’ve got resin, hopefully we’ll be able to craft a useful item with it in the complete update
I agree with the sentiment, but useful in the way your thinking probably won't come. This update seems to be mostly focused on the deco side of minecraft, with the creaking being the odd feature of the bunch.
By definition more decorations are useful. If your favorite color is orange or white, this update is an absolute banger for building and texturing. I do think the biome could use some kind of structure though.
Glowing orange flowers are great! The next best things Mojang can give us are tall trees (they can mix the tall and the short trees if they really want to keep the dark forest compatibility) and fog or some other way to obstruct the view in the forest
Minecraft should add damage to the Creaking. Like when the Creaking is on low health, instead of dying, it falls to pieces. (and I mean it's limbs fall off.) Then the Creaking heart regenerates it. (Puts it back together and continues the fight.) Then when the heart is destroyed, the Creaking would turn to dust, smoke, Or something like that. Just a little detail to add to its final death. But that's just an idea. What does anyone else think?
If we aren't counting the flowers, I estimate around 300 new blocks. That is. . . if we are counting block-states as a separate block: stairs:48 4 directions 3 varients 2 top or bottom 2 states of water logged Slabs:4 top or bottom 2 states of water logged Fence: 64 16 states 2 leash states 2 states of water logged Wall: 64 16 states 2 is topped off (this might be wrong cause walls are weird) 2 states of water logged door:16 4 directions 2 orientation 2 active states (questionable if we should count this as it still effects building if accidently powered) Trapdoor:32 (same as door but "top or bottom" instead of "orientation") 2 states of water logged Log:6 3 directions 2 Variants Wood:4 4 directions Leafs:2 2 states of water logged Moss Carpet: 9 4 sides + 1 base 2 height variations ------------------------------------------------------------------ Total: 300 1 (1)chisel 1 1 (1)plank 1 1 (1)compact 1 1 (1)brick 1 1 (4)wood 4 1 (2)leave 2 1(16)door 16 1(32)trap door 32 1(64)fence 64 1(64)wall 64 2 (4)slab 8 2(48)stairs 96 1 (1)moss 1 1 (9)moss carpet 9 And i'm not counting flowers ONLY cause I dont wanna look up positional data of all the variated offsets the flower can be at when on a block, not considering "potted or not". Nah. Just nah to that. Same with the vines. But feel free to add 3 extra ticks to the counter just cause "sure". I'm also only considered visual blockstates that effect builders. Any metadata stuff is ignored as this is an aesthetic/design-focused study. Sorry redstoners.
Fire, amber and such "on a block" doesn't count cause technically that's occupying the space next to the block. But if you wanna add amber as a block since sap/raw amber is placeable. . . go ahead and--wait. . . that's alot of variations since it's any combination of block faces. . . . lets just use binary and say around. . . +63 more. . . for just raw amber? Uhg.
This is pretty cool, but i’m getting reallly sick of an update’s purpose just being new blocks. We have enough blocks. More is kinda nice, but I don’t actively want more. I thought they were focusing on combat, adventures, and tinkering now
I can basically guarantee will will get more. It’s the winter drop so it could come anytime between December and February giving them at least a month, but up to 3, to work on it.

@@Creatures_of_the_Everquarry Games might be “made for fun” but players don’t play for fun. If there is an optimal way to play a game, even if it is generally less fun, players will almost always choose the unfun optimal way. @@Creatures_of_the_Everquarry I meant that you still need to setup everything else to get the achievement
0:46 Toycat... PLEASE do not call The Creaking that.
Yh heard that
this was a misspeak... but if I did call him that why would it be bad lol
@@toycat Yeah lol, I think something that spontaneous is too funny for someone to be mad
I think it’s a little more garden now
4:50 Is that beans on the floor?
Goddamit we did that for the raw iron block... Now for this one too the beans joke will never die will it ?
@@dragonslayer3552 neverrr
@dragonslayer3552 Now we have copper beans, iron beans, gold beans, and resin beans.
dammit who dropped the beans
Keep it going until the add proper beans
IREOC SAONLLMB! Finally an orange gem, and it's even a sap thingy, just like amber!
0:45 "just like that black guy right there" Damn bro
Like how the wither rose gives you the wither effect if you touch it these should blind you if you touch them
They should add more plants, maybe pale melons and pumpkins? The pale melon could make a cool new potion and the pumpkin could be spooky or something
I absolutely love these added features
9:27 Minecart with TNTNTN block TN blocks
There we go, now the update is interesting
I love cocacola
@@cuongtrieehhh, I enjoy water
It does drop if you break the heart without silk touch
@@Creatures_of_the_Everquarry yeah i know but we still get way more by continuously hitting the creaking
I love the resin! It kind of looks like autumn leaves! You could use it to make a fall themed area!
"These can be found naturally all over the place, Woah... just like that black guy right over there!"
*what did toycat mean by this*
I literally did 3 double takes
The only things left to add would be white pumpkins, fog, and unique tree shapes. Then it'll be perfect
Also, if anyone still doesn't think this is enough, remember that these new features can be expanded upon in the future, and most likely will if enough suggestions flow. As is, the biome is very cool, and a welcom addition.
Also, it's a minor update, it's gonna be like 1.21.4 or 5
People forget that :/
I'm very happy with the dro personally, but I wouldn't say no to a structure or more resin use later
HOLY CRAP!! MY FAVORITE COLOR IS NOW AN ARMOR TRIM OPTION. IT LOOKS SO GOOOOOODDDDDDDDDD
Mojang is cooking again, they always have been.
Always have been? They burnt down the house several times in a row
@@EmperorPenguin1217Yeah true but they are still doing a Great Job with Minecraft as a whole.
Also since Minecraft has several spin-offs now not only is Minecraft a Video Game & a Brand, it is a Franchise!
ohhhhh I love the flowers! and the resin blocks are so good, they remind me of the classic super mario brick texture.
The Resin in the WM might be a bit of lore(Illagers studying/creating life)
Hopefully they go for some jokes and make a Cabin in the Woods, maybe with a bit of Resin decor?
Another thing that is interesting is that illagers amd ravengers are actually scared of the creaking and run away from it. Very interesting...
Maybe a cool idea for resin is that it could act like honeycomb but for flammable blocks, in which it makes flammable blocks fireproof when applied to them
Would make a neat feature to the resin while it's consumability matching it's farmability along with a reason to make the pale garden just straight up fireproof to solve the whole "burning down the forest" situation lmao
11:22 We don't fix bugs, we change them
Some of ideas for resin clumps in builds, they look like oranges on leaves, dripping lava, fallen autumn leaves, orange petals, fresh copper ores, and group of eyes.
Super mario maps are gonna be crazy with the addition of resin bricks.

10:50 did no one see the efficiency 1 golden apple?
Ah, yes. The Efficiency Apple. Takes enchanted golden apple to a whole new level. Efficient ingestion and digestion. Removes slowness and slow falling and replaces it with glorious speed. Now applies haste!
Yeah that used to be efficiency 1 armour (leather cap-chain boots) idk why it's a golden apple now😂
I think we are in an era of Minecraft listening closer to feedback and I love it
Now this is what they should have had For the live show! Would have had much better reception For the update!
6:54 Back two ah, creak on that thang
I was just about to comment that 😭
Being able to break and get enchantment tables w/ my fist was always such a fun useless feature, the fact that no longer the case is sad

6:09 everything reminds me of her 😔
Lmao
A armor trim in the pale garden would be nice too
Resin looks like caramel and now I want to eat it.
I'm honestly surprised, Mojang did what is expected for a winter drop, I'm very excited for Minecraft's future
Who saw the enchanted golden apple with efficiency 1 on it. 🤔 when was this a thing!
i'm so happy there's finally a vibrant orange block set to complement the other less saturated orange blocks. this is gonna be amazing to build with!
Baked bean bricks
You can color change the orange to red and place the resin as blood stains for like haunted house stuff maybe
Yea maybe..
10:00 This is the normal program naming system that the majority of games use.
Omg the stairs are PERFECT for terracotta roofs!!!!!!!!!!!
Didnt the Mangrove and Cherry do the same
@@BetaRanger28 Yes, that's the problem
By definition more decorations are useful. If your favorite color is orange or white, this update is an absolute banger for building and texturing. I do think the biome could use some kind of structure though.
@@EmperorPenguin1217 how is more bulding blocks on a bulding game a problem?
Glowing orange flowers are great! The next best things Mojang can give us are tall trees (they can mix the tall and the short trees if they really want to keep the dark forest compatibility) and fog or some other way to obstruct the view in the forest
The creaking is still way too weak
Yeah, one of them is basically nothing and the hearts are so spread out. I don't think you'll ever get in a situation where you get surrounded.
White Pumpkin. Please mojang 🙏
I think the more times you hit a creaking the more damage its punch should do
You say resin looks bad on Diamond Armour and then you show Iron Armour and not Netherite Armour?
If we aren't counting the flowers, I estimate around 300 new blocks.
That is. . . if we are counting block-states as a separate block:
stairs:48
4 directions
3 varients
2 top or bottom
2 states of water logged
Slabs:4
top or bottom
2 states of water logged
Fence: 64
16 states
2 leash states
2 states of water logged
Wall: 64
16 states
2 is topped off (this might be wrong cause walls are weird)
2 states of water logged
door:16
4 directions
2 orientation
2 active states (questionable if we should count this as it still effects building if accidently powered)
Trapdoor:32
(same as door but "top or bottom" instead of "orientation")
2 states of water logged
Log:6
3 directions
2 Variants
Wood:4
4 directions
Leafs:2
2 states of water logged
Moss Carpet: 9
4 sides + 1 base
2 height variations
------------------------------------------------------------------
Total: 300
1 (1)chisel 1
1 (1)plank 1
1 (1)compact 1
1 (1)brick 1
1 (4)wood 4
1 (2)leave 2
1(16)door 16
1(32)trap door 32
1(64)fence 64
1(64)wall 64
2 (4)slab 8
2(48)stairs 96
1 (1)moss 1
1 (9)moss carpet 9
And i'm not counting flowers ONLY cause I dont wanna look up positional data of all the variated offsets the flower can be at when on a block, not considering "potted or not".
Uhg.
Is it out already?
No, the pale garden comes out in December I believe.
The preview's out but not as a stable finished release
It’s out on Minecraft preview but the updates coming out sometime in December
I love the eyeblossoms, because they act as a disguise for the Creaking, since they look exactly like its eyes.
This is pretty cool, but i’m getting reallly sick of an update’s purpose just being new blocks. We have enough blocks. More is kinda nice, but I don’t actively want more. I thought they were focusing on combat, adventures, and tinkering now
Well a new rare biome IS adventurous, but yeah a combat update and tinkering would be nice
I can basically guarantee will will get more. It’s the winter drop so it could come anytime between December and February giving them at least a month, but up to 3, to work on it.
Last update was combat, adventures and tinkering. I think for a smaller update this is fine
I mean the Creaking was mostly for Defending your Base from Players as a supposed way to tell your friends “GET OF MY LAWN!”
You also have to look at the perspective of new players, coming across this new, creepy biome, would be really fun and interesting if you are new to the game. Not all content can be late game
More decorative blocks… yippee. Totally gonna explore the desaturated forest over doing literally anything else
So much stuff to do, no reason to do it.
@@berrycade The reason to do it is for fun. Games are made for fun.
@@Creatures_of_the_Everquarry Games might be “made for fun” but players don’t play for fun. If there is an optimal way to play a game, even if it is generally less fun, players will almost always choose the unfun optimal way. That is why good games have lots of rewards, incentives, and progression systems to force players to play in a fun way. Minecraft hardly has any progression but a good balance was the trial chambers where they present the player with an optional challenge and reward them with loot and possibly a new high skill ceiling weapon that also spices up combat with high risk/reward. There is no point to go exploring a pale garden at night unless you want.. the color orange? Terrible design.
0:43 “oh just like that black guy right there”
The fact that we are finally getting some newer blocks and armor trims makes me even more excited! I can’t wait to build with these new blocks!
This makes the pale garden so much better.
So resin is the splattering blood of the creaking heart when you attack it. Nice.
