✖✖ DESCRIPTION: Ok ! So our first YAMAHA RD 500 V4 project 4K video !
Very hot day, unfortunately it affected the jetting ( became too rich ) and the top end was not "cleaning up" well.
On the other hand, we've had another strange problem related to the clutch or throttle cables since the throttle seemed blocked when we pushed in top end.

Awsome i owned both of these bikes during the 90s I loved them. Luckily I ride a kawasaki Z 750 now which is just as good and fun as the RD 350 an 500 power valves. This video brought back a lot of good memories. :)

Have you ever compared Yamaha rd 500 v4 With yamaha r6 4 stroke or honda cbr 500 , kawasaki ninja 6 and others.
Recently no, but years ago we've compared the acceleration with a friends MV Agusta 1000 F4 and the 500 could keep up until around 180 km/h
But the setup at the moment is a little different than at that time, we will be using OEM carburetors and the exhausts are less agressive ( JL )

Our 500 V4 has 120-130hp ( crank ) max, no comparison against a >180hp
To be able to keep up until a certain speed is good, a full OEM 500 would be completely smashed from the beginning lol

Punith S, this 350 is more fun since we can explore it more than with the 500.
The 500 has too much " 2 Stroke power and torque" not in a linear delivery, which compromises the levels of fun and capacity to explore the bike safely on these public roads with traffic.
