Never enjoyed cover bands, whatever you want to call them....but this changes my mind...I think he is really exceptional....along with the band members....
Saw Randy open for Ritchie Blackmore and Rainbow once .. They opened with this song and Purple smoke being blown onto the stage from both sides . Hansen came out of the purple smoke in a wall of feedback . All you could see at first was the neck of the guitar ...then it was on !
This is 1000 xxx better than SRV , Gary Moore . Mr. Hansen knocked this tune out of the park , squeezed every note possible from that guitar . This is how you pay tribute to the legend JH . 👍❤️🙏
God this is taking so long as two years to answer your question but I'll tell you how we keep it in tune. Graphite pencils on the nut... daily upkeep on that bridge... and it's at least an hour and a half a day of work to keep the guitar in good condition when you're playing it this hard every night

Hansen's sound is more "current." He achieves hendrix distortion in essence because it sounds "sharp" and crazy, but the sound quality is different, because Hansen can't help but occupy the modern recording to capture his guitar feats as well; everything changes, because the sound quality affects the sharpness with which the hearer understands the song. Hendrix not only considered his pedals to achieve the sound he wanted to have, but also knew that sound quality affected, So he adapted to the sound quality to apply the distortion as he wanted it to be. Besides this, I don't think Hansen has the original pedals at his disposal. Hansen is the best. 🎸🔥 🙂
