7:46 I'm glad you call Heavy the anchor, he feels like a brick wall that you have to bulldoze through to get anything else done against the enemy team lol. Now all we need is an anchor cosmetic of some kind. Man its gonna suck seeing you not talking about TF2 anymore.
Sam from his engie and heavy explination, really likes people playing around *him.* I respect playing Heavy as a roamer, and engie very angrily. I feel Demo has the highest unexpected damage output. When you shoot pipes and random stickies, you really only have intuition to go off of. Thus the enemy has to play around you the most.

I really enjoy playing defense as the classes speak to me with how they provide area denial and how they have some form of tankiness, be it having a higher health pool or by having another target the enemy has to deal with. That and playing defensive is something I like doing in TF2.
No, pyro is there because of the ambush and playing off other teammates to spread that damage, demo can also do that but unlike pyro you have to reload. So fucking much reloading and you can't be close range or you die. He may do alot of damage, but you get that damage off better playing defensive. Such as pushing behind your Uber combo with the sticky bombs, while pyro would be the one ubered that's a better formation then the demo being uber and the pyro running ahead of him.
Pyro and demo play off well with each other for covering weaknesses. The airblast you may see as a defensive mechanic, but it's there so you can walk at the enemy soldier flames out (you never have to stop firing remember that). It's a tool to create space and keep it that space can be used to get in which is what pyro needs.
engi isn't just an angry Texan with a shotgun. he's an angry Texan with a shotgun that if left alone for two minutes can conjure a stationary heavy soldier combo
5:30 the caber is just a very situational melee. It only really works in specific loadouts. Hybrid caberknight is kinda viable. Having a pocket ~360 dmg is pretty usefull and my favourite loadout which is the loch n load, tide turner and caber so it's actually possible to blast jump.
I like heavy. If I need to win I play him and sometimes if I don't need to win. I stomp the rats. Demo is one of my favorite classes, that's also just a win class and he does so much fucking damage.
Question, are you going to be doing more TF2 content when you switch to a variety channel? As TF2 is probably the best game for your kind of videos, being half commentated gameplay and half random rambles about stuff, few games allow for that kind of video gameplay to happen very easily besides TF2. The only one that comes to mind is Minecraft, so I would like to know if you're going to keep doing TF2 videos or if this is the end of those videos.
This is the end, unless Steel ever gets around to editing some streams in his backlog Go to Samwiz2 if things ever get figured out and that’ll be the last bastion of my content in the game
@@Samwiz1 Well then, that answers my question. This channel is probably my favorite TF2 channel (Zeyo and Soundsmith are close contenders) but this channel may take the crown as my favorite TH-cam channel, but we'll have to wait and see.
i had to pause the video and laugh when you showed off your demo loadout. the frozen aurora skin on your weapons? its a pride flag. what pride you might ask? it involves eating. and the dude who *made* the skin? one of the biggest members of said "pride". dont get me wrong, i support prides alot. but the fact THAT made it in as a SKIN into this public game never fails to make me laugh uncontrollably.
Defence classes are for slowing the game down. Heavy with his massive health pool. Demo and his stickies. Engie with his sentries and despenser. They are roadblocks or speedbumps that the enemy must overcome before taking the objective. Much of TF2 balance was focused on CTF and CP. The triad of Offence, Defence, Support reflects that.
Why are you doing a tutorial on this game in 2024, there are more people on earth who know how to play Tf2 than there are people who know how to play chess
If you ask me, it's because there is a stigma in the TF2 community that the class labels are "wrong" and "make no sense" when in reality they do and Sam is making these videos partially to prove that they do indeed do a good job showing the play style of the classes
So given it was just Christmas... (Merry Christmas btw) What was your favorite part of it? :D
(Favorite gift, a good meal, bearable relatives, etc.)
merry christmas :D

Mentioning the "why is that there" sentry placement kills is worth a serious sensible chuckle

Now all we need is an anchor cosmetic of some kind.
Man its gonna suck seeing you not talking about TF2 anymore.
defense in tf2 is basically territory denial, demoman excels here with sticky bombs, engineer with his buildings and the heavy just being the heavy
Demoman and "unexpected damage output" should not even be in the same category.

the bonus clip is so nice. thank you
To me, it feels like demo and pyro should switch roles given how they actually played and have changed by updates and likes

Love how the play style can be resumed as "being a rat bastard"
So what i've seen from each class review is...
The more alike the class is to a mortar artillary round, the more Sam likes it.
Pretty much
We love fire and forget/pray and spray

I play Engineer because he's genuinely a really nice person. :)

The point of heavy taking longer to kill doesn’t really apply when the enemy team has that 1 bastard that always has a fully charged classic.
I hope you still play some other valve games but even if you do not i wish you the best of luck

So for engineer you literally took the concept of battle engineer and decided to use more gun?
After all, why not? Why shouldn’t I shoot the heavy’s nuts?

It’s not exactly a tutorial if I’m just saying how bad I am at playing the class
same reason theres 300 videos on each weapon in the game
