Yep, I go to an mma gym, so we get people from all sorts of backgrounds like judo, boxing, karate, wrestling, muay thai, bjj, tkd, young, old, new, experienced, recreational, professional, etc, etc, I've seen them all. Now normally tkd guys come from mcdojos, so they don't really know what they're doing, but every now and then we'll get someone who's the real deal, or more often, someone with a heavy mcdojo background will develop the new skills we teach them, and then go on to implement their old tkd base into their newfound skill set, and THAT'S when they start to get dangerous. Once they begin to understand distance management, feints, timing, pacing, head movement, blocking, and then they can apply all that to their huge arsenal of tkd kicks, it's a game changer. Unlike 90 percent of fighters, they actually CAN pull off a 720 tornado kick, but now it looks different from the flashy "demonstration" kicks you see at martial arts shows; there's a bit more methodical "deliberation" between each 360 spin as they line up the shot and gauge how their opponent is reacting, and most times, the spins are so ferocious and their kicks are so precise that people tend to just back up with their hands out like "woooooah, I don't know what he's doing, but I'm not gonna stand still to find out", which is great, because right when the guy THINKS he's out of range, you can quickly add on another 360 to close a huge amount of distance, and boom, you can really deliver whatever you feel like, whether that be a spinning back kick to the body, a tornado kick to the head, you can feint into a spinning back fist to the body, or even stop unexpectedly to deliver a hook (there's a TH-cam video of an MMA fighter that does exactly just that to secure the ko) If you understand "fight theory", tkd is absolutely brutal. Out of all the striking disciplines, it's got the most weapons in its arsenal, and someone who's mastered fight theory and can access that massive arsenal of tkd kicks at will can literally just do the math in their head on the fly; "Oh, I've conditioned him into expecting the leg kick and now he's pre-emptively trying to check my low kicks? Time to feint low and go up top with a question mark kick", or "What's this? He's using the long guard to gauge his distance so he can pop in and pop back out with the jab? Well then, a lead leg sidekick to the ribs as he's popping in should knock the wind out of his lungs", or "Wow, he's a pocket fighter trying to throw bombs from the clinch so that I can't throw any kicks? Welp, too bad for him his hands are up to anticipate the collar tie, but I know how to do a jumping back kick from a closed guard, and it's going right into his unsuspecting midsection", or perhaps even a "he's been successful at the single leg twice in a row, so I'm anticipating he'll do it again. Yea i don't think you should do a Tornado in a fight but if your so skilled and have been training for years and if you land you can cause a calamity on your opponent.
Love your stuff man, but that's not happening 😂
Thank you bro, it is just a joke tho hahah I’ve also done skits where it’s the other way round
It could happen though if the taekwondo kid is from an actual dojang
@@nathearn oh, 100%. Make your skits, they're awesome 😂
@@gunnarjones7376 I would argue otherwise, but it depends on the person. A prodigy in taekwondo could definitely beat someone who's not naturally talented in boxing; I would just argue that between a boxer and taekwondo athlete of equal experience and talent, a boxer has the advantage.
@WindDancerYT I would argue the opposite, equal skill and talent, taekwondo practitioner has a wider arsenal and believe it or not some schools teach low kicks, take out a boxers legs and the boxer won't be able to use his hands or dodge as efficiently because he won't want to put his Wright on a hurting leg
Nat's Taekwondo moves are simply superb 💪💪
'the muay thai practitioner was too stunned to speak'
Muay Thai is finally put back in its place, old school Taekwondo is one of the most dangerous, specially with the knees (as a taekwondo of course)
I actually believe this is right. I do taekwondo and I might be bias but I think those kicks could beat muih Thai
Muay thai fighter would just shorten the distance and then your done💀
@@user-qp9me2nl5t there's a little punching in tkd but yeah prob
Finally no more taekwondo slander😂
we knocking out muay thai with this one 🗣️🗣️🗣️🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Finally Muay thai has been taken down
Being able to show your blind spot and with a letal kick taekwando is a really beautiful fighting style
As a taekwondo practitioner i can confirm this has happened before but where i only needed a side kick to the ribs
Keep on dreaming friend😂
Not a dream definetely lol. This guy could be lying but a side kick from a strong practitoner can be fatal, even more if aimed at the ribs lol
@@imcoolerimbetterthanfrieza i mean a few rounds of sparring wont hurt you would it? 🤣
@@imcoolerimbetterthanfrieza keep on dreaming in that bed all day on your phone
@@Turiptle a side kick to the ribs can be fatal. The guy went into tears because of the pain. I do respect the guy now that he is more humble
But does taekwondo make you bulletproof?!?!?!?!?!?
Does sitting in your bed all day on your phone make you bulletproof?!!?!?!?!?!?!?!
@@mudiboymk2849 you do relise its a joke?
Was it too personal?
You got to stop taking this serius
Nothing does unfortunately 😂
Tbh, taekwondo kicks gonna break bones if timed properly cuZ the speed produces momentum. But for such speed and power, we should do weight training, intense conditioningand athletic work. Then one might come as close to a muay thai fighter. Simple kicking not gunna work
bro knows how the algorithm works
Moral of the story, things you dont expect will surprise you
Your alarm just went off time to wake up⏰️💀
The second kick was personal 😂
My boxing instincts kicked in and i immediately said I’d win
bro is speedruning the achievement "angry muay thai keyboard warriors"
In my 12 years of practicing muay thai only 2 things got the best of me in a way that i couldn't do shit about it and wasn't expecting at all : 1. A master of kung fu who practiced it for over 20 years it felt like hitting a curtain in the wind and he was doing the weirdest positions i've ever saw he sweeped me on the ground multiple times and even grabbed me on the way down so i don't hurt myself that was the most amazing fight (standing up) i had in my life. 2 A Gracie jiujitsu master who dominated and ridiculed me so hard after more than 10 years of training including pro level fighting in muay thai i now coach brazilian jiujitsu instead of muay thai it was that hard of a life changing fight.
Hey brother, I have something to ask if possible can u pls answer.
I'm 20 year old woman, around 5'4 and around 125 pounds, which technique do u think is best for me to learn as to be able to self defend myself (yk out of jit Jitsu, martial arts, judo, kung fu, etc), would much appreciate some guidance.
Thanks a lot
Go and study, with this said, gotta said if u want a striking art got with kick boxing/muay thaiand you will not go wrong, and if u want grappling/ground go for judo, wrestling or bjj@@Ask_me_to_go_and_study_pls
Every Muay thai practitioner just started throwing hands at air.
As a muay thai keyboard warrior i kneed my computer out of anger
The fact this fight has been low-key been built up from the beginning😂😂😂
Dude just started a war in the Muay Thai community, including myself 😂
This is the First time I saw some justice for taekwondo
"Winner! " said the commentator
As someone who does Tae Kwon Do and also does boxing and mauy tai training i can confirm with just Tae Kwon Do i would not be nearly as lethal.
The true defeat here is the humiliation the Muay Thai practitioner would feel when their peers find out, lol.
You're messing with the most bait catcher martial arts guys on the internet, you're quite courageous
My bro forgot about tony jaa's muay thai fight ☠️
Lowkick enters chat
I do Muay Thai, but I respect other martial arts, it’s about wether I could beat the person, not the martial art
