    Absolutely fantastic edit George of a great day. Was a pleasure to meet ya and fish/share a few skills and generally spend some quality time in the great Outdoors.
    Always great to relive a trip through the lens/eyes of someone else too. Billy had a great time too and he enjoyed his fair share of trout didn't he .
    Atb George and here's to the next one 🥃, cheers
    Rick n Billydog

    I used to fish there in late 1960’s before they put in any rainbows, no boats and dry fly only. The bailiff from Liverpool Water used to live in the little house down the track by the Hare and Hounds in Abbey Village. By the way there are some big pike in the lower reservoir by the pub.

    • @adventurefishinguk
      @adventurefishinguk  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I might have to have a go at that lower reservoir thanks for the suggestion! It was a lovely place to fish there, really enjoyed it

    Finally got round to watching this. Catch some fish! I like my nettle in place of spinach in a lot of meals. I follow Rick on here. I've never tried fly fishing and I'm anxious to try it. I always thought it was for rich folk like bank managers etc. Good to see normal folk at it.

    My biggest concern with catch and cook is knowing when and where you are allowed to do it. Some great fish there fellas

    • @adventurefishinguk
      @adventurefishinguk  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah it can be a bit frowned upon at some places but most fisheries have a rule saying what you can take and when. Finding somewhere nice to have a little fire can be the challenging part

    What a great video and I’ve only ever tasted trout once and just wasn’t for me. Saying that it’s probably wasn’t cooked perfectly as how are you guys did it. You’ve got to taste it at its best I supposed to really appreciate it and only then will you know if you like it or not. I was waiting for you to sting your tongue when you’re eating them nettles and never ever thought of actually eating one myself but I’m sure it’s something I will have to try. Just make sure nobody’s dog has water it before you get to it 🤣🤣🤣…. Well done buddy and all the best to you and yours 👍🏽🎣😀

    • @adventurefishinguk
      @adventurefishinguk  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks John glad you liked the video! I’m not a big fish eater myself. Cod and chips from the chippy is usually as far as I go but I’m happy to make an exception in circumstances like this! Yeah definitely try a nettle when you next see one, somewhat of an acquired taste but it’s an experience
