Needed this video because neither the instructions in the booklet nor the display on the security device were coherent about exactly which key to put in at what time. Ended up reprogramming the new key and then the original key one at a time but finally got both keys working following this video. Thanks Tom.
Just did three of my keys for my 2013 frontier I was originally very worried that I would delete all the keys without having one functioning key but I was worried for nothing. This product worked flawlessly I got all three keys done in about 7 minutes and I program the remotes as well without a hiccup excellent excellent product

I just made my new key and it went perfectly! Out of curiosity I asked the dealership how much just programming the key would cost and they wanted $140! The key and programmer were about $100. I had the key cut for free at Fred Meyer’s a local Kroger store! I got to get rid of the stupid key plus fob system and now just have the compact single key with remote. Tom, you’re the best! Thanks! That sounds strange. This kit is for making a spare key then you already have one working key. You can try but if you don't have a key that starts the vehicle it won't work
So I bought a Sentra. It has a regular key but not buttons on it and no fob. Is my only choice the dealer or a locksmith? I really want a remote entry.
Question, where did you get your keys cut without programming? I can't seem to find somewhere that will do it without heavily insisting on doing the programming as well. I tell them I will program it myself and they gawk at me like I'm crazy. And also, for a reasonable price? The places that tell me they can do it say they will charge me anywhere from $40-$70 per key just to cut them without programming. I feel like there has to be a better way.

I followed the instructions to the letter and got an error code 4, I removed it from the OBD port and tried again, again I got an error code 4. I tried 4 times and got the same error message each time. I hope this does not turn out to be a waste of money! I will wait and see what their support people have to say but I am rather disappointed with it so far!

@@TomsKeyCompany Thanks for the reply, it was apparently Amazons fault, it showed the kit as correct for my Nissan Rogue when I searched for a key. They sent me a 4 button kit, I have now ordered a 3 button kit. I am concerned about it wiping the information off my only key, if it goes wrong and wipes my only key I am screwed as we have no Nissan dealers anywhere near us, and nobody local is able to copy transponder keys for this vehicle. Have there been any problems with this making keys unusable? Thanks, JC
@@TomsKeyCompany I just watched the video again and it appears that the 4 button key kit should have worked, it would have just meant that only 3 of the 4 buttons would have worked on the new key. The video is also confusing, it looks like in a couple of places he holds the key down while the process is running, I did not get any instructions to hold the button down, except for 2 seconds to initialize the process. He also puts in the original key to re-pair it, is this the part where the original key gets wiped clean?
I called a dealership to get the price for a new key blank. The dealership said 132.00 for the key. Then 150.00 to program the new key. Absolutely crazy.
