Tai Lopez has built up a huge reputation on social media as an influencer, business expert, social media agency creator, and ad expert. You've probably seen a Tai Lopez ad 500 times by now.
Tai Lopez is famous for his ad - "Here in my garage" -- but he's also known for teaching others how to make money online, he created a 67 steps program for entrepreneurs to learn how to start a business, he created a social media marketing agency course to teach aspiring entrepreneurs how to leverage social media to make a living, and his exotic sports cars.
Tai Lopez is commonly seen as a scammer so I decided to focus this episode on a few things he does well. After explaining the only semi-possibly-fraudulent business he ran before the social media fame, online dating websites, I explain in detail who he was before the social media fame, how he attained the fame, and I even break down a popular video to explain his brilliant sales tactics.
In this video, I share an interview he had with H3H3 where he explains how he has spent nearly $45mm on TH-cam ads alone.

Not gonna lie, Tai Lopez was what started me on my financial journey. Randomly saw his ad popped up Monday and instead of buying his course started researching.

The first red flag for me was the flashy ultra-lavish lifestyle with the cars, the mansions, and the girls. If that's your way of proving your success to the world, you probably have way deeper issues and also don't necessarily have the best character or values.

Turns out all of it is being leased and rented in order to sell the successful image. None of it is owned. He has money, but not enough for a $60 million dollar mansion and all those sports cars. It's a house of cards. Looks big, but it is mostly hollow. Hired girls age ~25. You'll see them once, but you'll never see them again. Once the cars and house aren't needed for content, he just won't renew leases. It's an illusion, and he will walk away from this stunt with maybe $10 mil, which is insane, but nowhere near as wealthy as he is trying to portray. Preying on young men ages 16-25 who don't know what they want to do with their lives yet.
He eventually became the guy that he was pretending to be.

Haven't u been paying attention working hard never gets anybody to the next level. Timing and risk taking is usually what it takes, and not been afraid to fail once or twist, and not giving up till u get what u want. If that's what u mean by working hard then yes. Like 17 year old me bought into his Social Media Marketing classes for like $180 and it was one of the dumbest decisions I’ve ever made. There was nothing for me there but I was just desperate to bring something into my household. This dude really makes you feel like you’re not doing enough when you are. You’re doing your best.

The funny thing is that I got an another “guru” ad in the middle of the video.
The difference between old school scammers and Tai is that he scaled up as you have pointed out. I saw so many ads of Tai for almost a year! That is when I realized that he is getting enough people to sign up and make money. So yes, he knows how to make money but does he deliver and make you better off...ugh probably not..thank you for the great video.

He is a meme because he paid for an insane amount of ads in a short timeframe and everyone who got stuck watching his ads knew he was fake as fuck and just laughed. Surprised he isn't in jail from all his scams.

I believe he's a scammer... It's not that "knowledge" gives you power... it's the RIGHT knowledge. If you're a successful businessman and want to provide value to your students, you have to explain to them the business model you're inserted in, the necessary skills and give them a proper training. All based on your OWN experience. That's how you add value to your customers, by sharing your experience on how you actually got there. Just regurgitating information already available for free or books with general advice will not get you anywhere. It's like if I sold you a course on how to build your own Ferrari and there I only showed you how to solve Newton's laws of Physics. There's no concrete advice, just BS.
He's definitely translated simple knowledge from books into a massive social media presence which then turned in to a lot of money by selling courses, buying real estate and a business.

I heard that he reads 20,000 books per day and that he flies with models, lands and instantly flies back... just to record himself flying with models..
I bought his Social Media Marketing course back in 2016 and I thought that was really well put together. They consistently added new content and he partnered with experts in their fields (FB Ads, IG, SEO etc) that had actual companies and they did the classes. I dont mind at all that Tai Lopez didnt personally do all the videos because he got people involved that knew what they were talking about. Looking at the contents of the entire course it was definitely worth the money, and I got my money out of it easily as well. I have heard that some of his later courses were a lot worse but I have no personal experience with it so I cant judge him on that.

Write a book, promote it in a weird category on amazon, and the blue badge is what you get. :)
