I thought I saw you stick the napkins down with glue stick but maybe someone else. Anyway, I did it with glue stick and it's really nice, so easy. The paper stays really smooth. Almost feels like fabric, dries really fast. I also decided I would use the plain white plies! That is very cool! I even printed on the napkin side.

I've done it with glue stick as well...did you put a top coat of podge over top...I found it worked great...
I've also put white glue on a piece of plastic laid my napkin on top and added white glue over top and let dry overnight...you can cut it, sew it, I use it as a journal page too...I love this way of using napkins, can't wait to try it over a plain scrapbook page...love your videos...

If you have embossing folders those look really pretty when you emboss them and then you run a little ink over the top of them and gives them another texture I've done it and it looked so pretty

I sometimes use PVA glue mix with a little water and it works fine. Just don't put too much on, so as not to make the paper/card too moist. Enjoyed your video very much.

I know I am late to the party and this video was done some time ago. First let me say I really enjoyed the video. It was full of ideas. Secondly, I wanted to make a suggestion. You may have gained this knowledge by now, but if you dilute the pva glue with water it will do two things. One it will make it thinner and easier to spread, without losing it adhesiveness. It will also get rid of the tacky feeling left behind when it drys. I normally use a two to one ratio when I make the mixer. Two parts glue to one part water. I hope that helps in case you attempt it in the future.

  • @rebabyrd2099

I use PVA glue for decoupage and it turns out great. You are supposed to use the glue 2 parts glue to one part water. I am sure your gel medium is the best. I have used it before too. PVA is less expensive. Loved the collages and decoupage!!

👍 I've been using paper napkins on my cards for decades... some I've fussy cut, some not. I shop for napkins with a certain season or event in mind. Amazon has gobs of paper napkins that I love for cards. Napkins glued to card stock is the only way to fussy cut BTW. 🌻 Sunflowers and Goldfinchs are my favorite because I looove yellow !!! This makes a super card for summer or fall. Keep crafting !

Eve, these are simply lovely. I have a paper pack of thin papers that have several sheets that I do not like. I will definitely try this. I was typing the very question you just answered about difference in mod podge and the gel medium. Thank you for that info. Although I have not had anything to stick bad enough to tear, if I have a journal that is closed for a while or has any weight on it, the mod podge elements stick. Thank you for sharing all your wonderful ideas.
