I had the distinct privilege of meeting up with Eric in the downstairs bar at the Celebrity Theater after a "United we Funk show in Phoenix Arizona. We chopped it up for a few talking bout his God given talent and skill to slap n plunk the crap out of a bass guitar. He was also promoting his hit solo album at the time. He brought out Michael Cooper and Felton Pilate (really good friends of mine) and they all signed my Confunkshun poster and Mr Young signed his cd. It was then while we were discussing their future projects is when I realized what made them who they are were people like us who share the love that funky rhythmic vibe- led y the free flying spirit of their funky bass player Through their funk we are able to feel what's happening inside our body, mind and soul. And with legendary Slap/ thump meister big ," E " you can't help but move & groove. Gonna miss ya Eric. God bless and thanks for letting me ride the love train with yall brothers. "Confunkshunizer for life" ✌😎
