Excellent vid bloke. Multi 10 shot groups is the only way to go &, although I may not agree with all your conclusions regarding some of the causal mechanisms, I do ensure that I reconsider the results in light of the the causal mechanism theorized simply due to the statistical robustness you bring to the debate. I'm an absolute firm, unshakeable believer in statistical validity in all so called testing & I simply do not accept anything other than the type of testing you do. This is in fact how I test & the only way to do testing. Low data sample testing just isn't testing & that's that in my opinion &, I've done a lot of testing on that subject alone. I've enjoyed your other vids & will continue to keep up with your channel. It's just worthwhile information.
I shoot 20 to one F-class over PRS. I purchased the 6 CM with the chassis and it comes with a 26" barrel. I took it to a 600y mid range F-class competition. It shot a perfect score of 600 with 32 x's. The month prior it shot a 599 and the month prior a 598. Out of 180 rounds down range, for score, only 3 shots were in the 9 ring. That's MOA at 600 yards for 177 rounds out of 180 rounds. I was shooting off a Phoenix bipod and rear sandbag. My F-class rifles have Kelbly Panda actions with Bartein Barrels and Bix'n Andy triggers with my own custom reamers. This is an off the shelf rifle for 2500 plus 2k for a scope and this thing can shoot. Thanks for the video. I probably got lucky with my barrel, but still...
That’s incredible! Great to hear! I just ordered the chassis, and have been lamenting over what barrel/action to put in. Maybe I’ll just start with factory, and see how it goes.
@@harveymanfrantinsingin7373 Go watch Erik Cortina's TH-cam channel, he recently shoots his area solos at 500 yards, he has two videos in the last month. He's a world and national champion F-Class shooter and makes reloading products. He is impressed with the aero solus as well. Rob''s reloading channel has some recent videos with his aero solos build that shoot 1/2" at 300 yards.
I’d really like to see a long string fired on the solus to see if there’s any POI shift. If those button rifled barrels aren’t stress relieved right they can have a pretty drastic shift
I've got two of the Solus chassis and the cheek piece removal is my biggest (only) complaint. I've found you don't really need the retaining pin so if you leave it out you can remove the bolt at the range if needed.
Great video, I liked your last one as well. You went over bolt lift but how smooth is it to cycle? I saw an older video comparing it to an (to be fair, a well used) Origin and it didnt seem nearly as smooth, though that may have been improved since.
Thank you! Honestly, it’s so hard for me to put into words the subjectivity of feeling of bolt manipulation. I’ll put it this way the best I can, to me, it feels smooth. And that’s just me. It certainly feels, to me, that it’s very easy to lift open the bolt after firing compared to other 3-lug actions. Now, for the cycling-to answer more of your question, this needs to get broken in way more before I can give a “to me” answer haha.
Haven’t had enough time on it to give any conclusive opinion. However, so far, im impressed that for at the price point, the clarity is great. I have the match pro ED bino’s as well and had some guys at matches comparing them to higher price tiered options and they really liked them.
Great honest video!
Thank you!

really good video . good job.
Thanks!
Great video Blake, your editing is getting really solid! Thanks for taking us through the full caseprep. Excellent!
Thank you!

You got it!
Definitely would love to see the Solus run during a match
Show us the bolt disassembly and how to check for proper fire forming!
You got it! Just got done filming it for next video.

10 shot group at 1/2 MOA?!? Sheeeesh 🥴 I'll take it!
Good groups so far! Any lubing of bolt necessary, in terms of smooth action cycling?
Yes, I have been lubing the bolt. Still pretty light lift. Needs to get broken in some more though, this was the first rounds down the barrel.

Fair enough, thanks for the reply
Great shooting. If you shoot a match please get a trigger cam or other brand scope camera. Watching 3rd person match footage isn’t fun
You got it.
What Bipod are you using?
Cyke pod
How are you liking the match pro?
