    I am genuinely nervous to do shadow work because I have hidden so much from myself and others and I am worried about the emotions that will come up....

      i was too… but i told myself that it’s better for me to feel those emotions now and try to heal rather than bottling them up and suffering for the rest of my life :( it’s not easy but it’s worth it

    i’ve sobbed every time over these prompts like they hurt so badly and i get angry, resentful, sad, depressed but on the other side you feel a kind of peace. yeah, once it’s dug up it hurts v badly but you just cannot keep suppressing it. recognise it, describe it, really feel it, process it, accept it… that’s as far as i’ve gone. still need to do some more and then accept it’s in the past, make peace w it and try to forgive.
    now, if anything bad happens i try to feel the pain and work through it before it affects you even more. it won’t leave you if you don’t face it head on. the other side is better, i promise. there’s no rush just work through it at your own pace. i have a long way to go but remember as we start our journeys, we aren’t broken vessels needing to be healed, we have everything we need to heal ourselves, just some more love, care, acceptance, faith. forgiveness is maybe the hardest thing. i believe in us all❤️

    Thank you for your vulnerability and your bravery for sharing your journey. I’m also on a journey myself of inner healing and mental health. I took the jump and got a therapist that specializes in what I went through in my childhood. I want to recommend a TH-cam channel that I’ve been liking is The Crappy Childhood Fairy, her channel really explores those things in our childhood in a loving way and help us viewers to understand ourselves better and have hope in our journey.     I loved this video, and relate to so much of what you said. I have something similar with friends, I think because of having to work so hard to heal from really damaging friendships I'm very particular about who I let in. And I've made the mistake of thinking one month of shadow work was all I needed and its becoming increasingly clear to me that its something I need to incorporate into my life more regularly. I'm DEFINITELY doing this 30 days of shadow work with your prompts (so helpful, I had no idea where to start). I wish you the best on your healing journey Kate!

    Thank you so much for being honest about not doing it every day. I struggle with mental health stuff too and that was weirdly encouraging in that I saw I’m not alone and other people go through the same things. I forget that sometime

    The things is, I did shadow work and did grow. But then I relapsed and I feel like this work that I did Is for nothing. But I wanna start again. I’m also getting a therapist so we’ll see

      Struggled with this too but honestly doing shadow work and doing somatic therapy like eft tapping or yoga and breathwork and other things to help the body regulate and apply the changes shadow work lays out for you

      i would say that the biggest thing is just to be 100% honest and vulnerable. this will help you dig deeper into your emotions and experiences. what are you struggling with when it comes to your shadow work process? maybe i can help!

    Is shadow work recommended for beginners or people new to this kinda of spirituality? I’m definitely interested in trying this because it seems to really work for you.

      I think it doesn't matter cause some people that are not into spirituality do shadow work but unconsciously like they analyze why they're being like this or acting like that. Sorry for the late response.

    I Don t do prompts but i Just write like freely i was having that want for a long time Just expressing myself with no restrictions to my emotional expression and i can't stop writing😂 i feel like i have immense burden on my shoulders and i Just write and write and write and i can t stop Idk i feel i supress a lot of feelings and i fear like this vomiting of things will Last forever i hope this with time will help me a lot to be more clear and Just venting will help me to get over things faster

    I relate to the family trauma, and it’s so difficult in Asian culture too because you have that obligation and responsibility to them. It’s the generational trauma, but I hope you can at least try to distance yourself to family. Find a way to have boundaries with them. We are allowed to live our own life without feeling responsible to them 24/7. All love

    Do I need to shadow work the obsessions and fears in my mind? Or should I just not focus and let them go?Btw you are so beautiful❤️❤️

      Shadow work can help with that but maybe try asking why you have that fear and keep questioning every answer you give until you can’t dig any deeper, and it will help.
      Ex : I’m scared of the ocean
      Why- I don’t know what’s around me
      Why does that bother me
      Because I can get hurt by animals
      If there was no animals would I be scared
      If so why - because the ocean is unpredictable and so on
      Or if no why - because I can’t read wild animals and so on
      ^ for your fears you will have to dig and ask yourself the questions
