i have a very new Sandisk Extreme pro version 64gb and its not 3 weeks i use it to records videos in my drone.....i connect it normally to my pc and my tv also sometimes..i pulled out the usb converter and since then the card seems like dead....i tried format all ways and it shows as only 30mb not 64GB in windows ....i tried your program..nothing..i tried like 10 other similar programs ..nothing...i tried partition commands on Dos...nothing.....can the card me damaged and dead already????? there is nothing i didnt try .....

Hi Micheal, just bought a brand new usb flash drive and my laptop recognised it as a 1TB but then asked me to format it as i wanted to use it as a back up drive. now after trying to back up it recognises something in position drive E but properties say there is nil bytes on the drive. tried following the video but as soon as i went back to format the same message came up windows was not able to complete the task. i think i have either bought a bad drive or i have somehow corrupted it and its now useless. will see if amazon will let me return it .

Then I would recommend trying to use a Bootable USB device to launch into windows and then type CMD in the search bar and launch it and then type the following commands "diskpart", "list disk", "select disk [your disk] " , "clean". Hopefully this solves your issue if not it might be an issue with the drive itself and I recommend taking it to a professional.

None of it helped :( I can see the drive and browse the files, even copy some of the files, but when I try to format it one way or another it fails.

The fix I found was that it was my sd reader that the issue. Wish I had thought of troubleshooting it that way considering it was a new SD card

go to disk management>right click on the ruled area in front of the external drive to be formated.>select delete> now again right click the empty space> select formate; a new wizard will pop up. Select on-screen instructions to formate into ntfs type.

I bought 10 new 8GB Kingston mciro sd, sadly all half way copy then stop; after that the sd no long er working with all kinds of different errors, exp disk not reading, need format, write protected....i tried all kinds of solutions, virus check, use different pc, dos prompt, diskmanager, etc, all didn't work; seller refused to return and refund. anyone got the solutions please share. Why can't you just say it's a piece of trash when none of this works instead of going on to the recover it software, that would give assurance that there is nothing we can do and it's just a trash
i dint click on quick format and now it say it raw and i cant format it
