    Sorry, Doc, I completely disagree. You go through changes including dumping all the plant based toxins your body has stored for years on the Carnivore diet but it takes time. I have had such profound changes both physically and mentally on this diet I can hardly find the words for how grateful I am to have found this way of life. I was a 30 year vegan/veggie and wound up with multiple auto immune conditions. Plant based toxins are a very real, very deadly threat which needs to be addressed. There are no proper double blind studies that prove red meat and saturated fats are bad for us. It is a narrative driven by flawed falsified science in the 1950s which was never repeated or properly checked out. This diet is ancestrally appropriate and has far reaching positive health results. I've never felt this strong, calm and focused in my life and I am very angry at the establishment pushing their food pyramid narrative. We have been utterly harmed by it. My conditions are starting to reverse.

      Couldn't agree more. I was vegetarian for 2 years and my health deteriorated badly. One year on keto and I started to lose weight and some improvement l, but since going carnivore it's been a complete game changer, so many benefits. I had to go through oxalate dumping but now that's over I feel so much better, eating veg makes my arthritis flare up.

      The whole cancer and heart/circulatory disease explosion we've had since the 60s/70s came after we were introduced to the food pyramid with 55% carbs as the golden rule.
      Western people came into Europe as normads from Asia. You don't grow carbs as a normad. You eat meat, fish in the rivers you travel along. Sheep, goats, cattle, chickens in you carriages. Green veggies during the growth season. But you don't stop to plant grain etc

She helps people to reflect when dr.s urge them to take the mentioned drugs 'for your own sake and well-being''. Believe me, the pressure can be quite intense. My doctor tried 500 mgs for a month then up to 750mg for 2 weeks felt worse went back down to 500 mg and it didn't do anything, felt like I was taking it to feel worse, not better. Stopped it and am back to low or no carb - focusing once again on ketones. it feels like an uphill battle but I'm never giving up. @drBoz This is written with all due respect. I’m thankful that you are admitting that the protein macro calculation paragraph on page 122 of your book is wrong. For some of us, using this calculation, made the grams of protein under 50 per day!! I understand that at the beginning of a low carb and/or keto diet the most important thing is high fat, carbs under 20. BUT, not clarifying in your book or even in your last 21-day metabolic class in September, that once fat-adapted we should adjust our protein (increase it), so that the next morning we are still in ketosis, this is VERY important. When some of us followed the advice on pg 122, for a year or more (cause we weren’t told when to stop), we had hair loss, lost muscle mass, tiredness, etc. I hope you include this information in the next class so that they don’t have to go through what some of us did.

    Why overcomplicate the LDL, LPa, glycation story. It is simple. The liver produces excess LDL when there is too much glucose and fructose to process coming in. The LDL stays in the blood too long because hyperinsulinemia prohibits the cells to use the LDL for energy. This LDL becomes glycated and oxidized when there is too much glucose in the blood and too much PUFA's are ingested chronically. The solution: limit the carbohydrates and fructose in the diet. Limit grains, starches, sugars and seed oils. NO DRUGS NEEDED.

    • @susanbeever5708
      @susanbeever5708 11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@denises.8500 statins cause diabetes. Diabetes involves hyperinsulinemia (HI). Sugar up-regulates TRPV1 that increases insulin secretion. HI increases TRPV1 again on the skeletal muscle cell cytoplasmic membrane that allows glucose into the cell without using the insulin receptor and causes too much glucose oxidation in excess of the cell’s antioxidant reserves. TRPV1 on the mitochondrial membrane causes too much reactive oxygen species (ROS) production and too much calcium into the mitochondria that damages the mitochondria and eventually leads to cellular apoptosis with insulin resistance in the milieu along the way.
      Statins as Dr. Boz noted causes pain in skeletal muscles.
      Too much sugar leads to too much TRPV1 and TRPV1 in the paraventricular nucleus leads to secretion of antidiuretic hormone that causes hyponatremia and hypoosmolality that up-regulates/stimulates TRPV4 on monocytes that leads to increased mcp-1 and M1 inflammatory macrophages and increased lp(a). TRPV4 on vascular smooth muscle cells (VSMC) causes dedifferentiation of VSMC to switch to the inflammatory phenotype that then makes macrophage-like smooth muscle cells that comprise 50% of the macrophages in plaque, and osteoblast-like smooth muscle cells that calcify the plaque.
      So you see, while some argue that continual calcification of plaque is good it is not because the inflammatory phenotype persists and the disease process continues.
      This is why statins are bad and statistically people live longer not on statins. Additionally, statins stop the mevalonate pathway essential for our hormones, immune cells and cellular membranes.
      This is all in the research over decades but there are no systemic drugs to treat TRP pathologies for people that have passed clinical trials so without a drug for the medical community to sell the research is not shared or taught to medical practitioners.

    It took me more than 6 months to lose the 8.5. But once I listened to Dr boz ideas about being more strict, the weight loss has been more steady. The 18-hour time restricted eating is what I need to do to lose weight. I limit my calories. But I eat some carbs. Important to do the trace minerals.

    What alternatives to sardines are there for those of us who are super allergic to fish, not just shellfish, all of them. One thing I do with OMAD is limit caloric intake to within +/-200 calories of my BMR with 5-20% carbs, 20-30% protien, and 50-60% fat. For me, even energy all day, keeps me sated, and avoids over consumption. I cook virtually all of my own food, and use barely any processed sugar. I also do a 48 hr. fast once a week, and a 72hr fast once a quarter. Been doing this for three years, feel great with good numbers. 5' 8" tall went from 193lbs to 155lbs in three months and have kept it off. I exercise 4 times a week, pure body weight calisthenics.

      How do you have the willpower for a 72 hour fast?! I just don’t have it. It makes me nervous. Any tips?

    • @rdtradecraft
      @rdtradecraft 10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@notnow7973 I didn't start out doing 72hr fasts. The key is giving your system time to adapt. I started by going from three meals to two(skipping breakfast) and reducing carbs by 15-20% per day over the course of about ten days. The first couple of days were the hardest for me, but I think that was more psychology and habit than anything else.
      Once I got the carbs under 20%, I decided to work toward OMAD, making dinner my main meal. I cut my lunchtime meal calories by 25% and added them to the dinner meal. Did that for a week and reduced lunch by half for the next week until I was only eating one really awesome dinner of about 1800 calories, which is the basal metabolic rate(BMR) number for me for my target weight of 150, which puts me in the middle of the BMI range for my height. I vary this by about 200 calories or so depending on how hard I plan to exercise that day.
      I did straight OMAD for a month, and decided to go for a 36 hour fast, which was surprisingly easy after a month of OMAD. Did basically 1 meal every 24-48 hours for about six or seven weeks.
      By this time I'd been at this for about three months, had lost 30+ pounds, felt great, and I decided to try for a 72-hr fast because my glucose, though lower overall, was still drifting high after not eating anything. I assume it was just my liver processing some excess fat/glycogen and dumping glucose in the process because it stopped after another couple of months and stays low most of the time now.
      Sometimes in the midst of a fast I will find I crave sweets or am just hungry. I usually just slam down a big drink of water or coffee/tea with no sugar and it goes away after about 15-20 minutes or so. I now add keto BHB powder to the water if it gets really bad, but since I know it will go away if I just wait it out, it's usually not a big will power problem anymore.
      The other thing that helps is that 1800 calories is a big meal, big enough that every meal is a celebration meal, but since I keep it to 1800-2000 calories, and plan the meals accordingly, it doesn't result in binging or relapsing into carbs. These days, it's nothing for me to go 24 hours without eating. In fact I have forgotten to eat a couple of times on an OMAD day.

Stayed on it for a few years because doctors said that I might as well take it anyway because it is great for longevity. Then I learned that it might have a negative impact on muscle building which I believe is going to ultimately be the solution. So I stopped metformin. I of course have remained on a ketogenic diet and have been doing carnivore for a few months. I think that until I build the right amount of muscle mass, I will remsin pre-diabetic. What does it mean though for people for whom metformin makes no improvement in blood sugar levels?

    Thanks, why not drink a shot of MCT oil C8/C10 instead of butter/burger meat? Glad you’re in Tampa, I am going to checkout Your support group.

    Whatever you BELIEVE in (faith) is what will manifest in your reality, so it doesn't matter what you eat if you believe (affirm) you're nourished and always healthy. I have always preferred eating meat/protein. Our minds (consciousness) are powerful. We are all energy/spirit (thoughts, beliefs, etc.). This is why people that believe in the carnivore diet then it works for them and others believe in veganism and it works for them. Consciousness is the one and only reality and creates (manifests) our external experience/reality. ❤😊

    Way too many side effects with metformin. Unremitting diahrea, increased appetite, nausea.

      @DrDavidBilstrom - 4X board certified MD has content on studies about the vitamin d receptor - foundational triad - that has science data backing as a replacement for metformin 🙏

    Unlike butter, sardines don’t really go well in coffee.
