Do you want to learn how to use surface modeling? And becoming and expert on Surfacing, then this video exactly for you.
Surface modeling is an alternative to Solid Body modeling. Essentially, it’s just another tab at the top of the SOLIDWORKS User Interface. Surface modeling is an important tool to have in your box because it not only makes modeling easier, it sometimes makes modeling possible. In other words, there’s some geometry that is impossible to create without using surface features.
In this video you will see a Advanced Surfacing example. Some Surface Commands used in this video as follows:
    Extrude Surface
    Revolve Surface
    Boundary Surface
    Surface Trim
    Knit Surface
    Lofted Surface
    Swept Surface
    Delete Face
    Ruled Surface
    Project Curve
    Pattern
    Variable Fillet

thanks. a couple of questions:: 1 . shortly after 4 min mark, do you have to make the sketch a fit spline to make the loft? or can you just use that sketch. 2. what did you do from 4:20 to 4:40? looks like you just clicked bunch of things and didn't do anything except for a construction line. thank you

hi he is just trying to split the sketch for using the green dot for straight line
if you look at the 4:47 yo will see 2 green dot he is trying to make a good shape for the body
you can use just one point and make connection between line and point
      it will be okay

Good example of model but difficult to follow what you are doing, you need to slow down a little. Your volume is also very quiet.

Also at 4:50 why do we surface loft, instead of doing a normal loft? Thanks.

It is to do with design itself.
With that revolve I am creating there a sub surface which I can use for my split surface operation
