Scarface of Geto Boys | Guitar Moves Interview

Since Scarface's emergence in the early 90s, the Houston artist has shaped hip-hop in innumerable ways. From releases with the Geto Boys​ to launching Def Jam South with Russell Simmons , the rapper has secured his place among the genre's most iconic figures.
He's also, believe it or not, an avid guitar player and, like Sweeney, a childhood fan of a certain NYC 70’s rock band that wore makeup.

Matt Sweeney, host of Guitar Moves, is an NYC based producer (Joanna Sternberg “I’ve Got Me”) and composer (Superwolves, Chavez, Red Dead Redemption 2). Went to see him live once. He rapped and danced around with a guitar hanging off him but never plugged it in or struck one note. We called it the Gibson piece n chain.
